Blog Mission Statement

Posted: August 31, 2011 at 8:00 am

Morning, loves! How is this fine Wednesday morning treating you? I hope off the charts! Things are much better around here. I got the update that my mom no longer needs the respirator and her oxygen level shows in the normal range, albeit still on the lower end. So, progress is a-happening. Yay! Thanks for your support and prayers…and feel free to keep them coming. And I will keep you all posted.

So, you may or may not have noticed that my obsession energy for blogging has reached new heights recently.

Well, it has. All because I want to make FFF the best experience possible for each of you that choose to stop by and spend time with me – whether multiple times a day, once a day, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Although I sincerely hope you find FFF welcoming enough to hang around more than monthly or yearly. Winking smile

Our blogs can undoubtedly change over time. I know mine has and I work hard every day to help nourish my little baby and keep growing as a blogger…and as a person. Blogging helps me on so many levels and I feel thankful to have it (and YOU!) in my life daily.

This little ole blog has changed me in many ways and it only seems fit that changes show up on the blog as well – new looks, new material, new picture fun, and lots of new all around. One thing I don’t want to change? What my blog stands for. My blog’s “mission statement” if you will.

I hope if you regularly read FFF you will nod along as I go through my Mission Statement. I hope if you just started visiting or stopped by for the first time, you can feel confident in returning. I wish everyone could read this so as not to see the word “Faith” in my blog title and think I’m here to cram my beliefs down everyone’s throats because that is soooo NOT the way I do things. Or even my goal at all.

Faith Fitness Fun Blog Mission Statement

FFF header

Share my life in the hopes that others can see a healthy life goes beyond diets and beyond workouts – that it includes loving yourself, loving others, and loving the blessing that is life.

Show that a balanced, healthy lifestyle is achievable, manageable, and FUN.

Connect with others and build an environment of love and support in this crazy, hectic world.

Let others facing struggles with their relationship with food, body image, and self-worth know they are not alone and CAN overcome those things.

Provide motivation in stepping out to take control of improving our health one meal, workout, moment at a time.

I’m not here to preach. I’m not here to convert.

I’m here to say we can all find something more to live for outside of diet and workouts. For me that includes my faith in God, but I hope everyone knows they can find something more to live for and fulfill them.

Eat well. Stay active.

AND

Have Fun. Smile. Laugh. Love.

Faith. Fitness. Fun.

  • What would you say is your blog’s mission statement? I challenge you to write your own post sharing it!
  • Just because I’m curious: Do you read FFF as “triple F” or “F-F-F”??

Great mission statement. I will be totally honest with you, when I found your blog a few years ago I was very hesistant to read it. I am Jewish and I love my Jewish faith. Unfortunately I live in an area that doesn’t so much love my faith and I had some trouble growing up. I spent many many many night crying in elementary school because of my faith and begging God in my nightly prayers to still love me. I didn’t understand at that age. As an adult I tend to be leary of religious type blogs because I don’t want anyone to “save me” or “convert me” because I don’t feel I need to be saved. Because of my childhood experience I am very open torwards all religions and believe they all are beautiful and all have a place in this world. So when I saw that you blog name was Faith Fitness and Fun I was nervous. But I kept reading and two year later I can honestly say that I have never once felt preached to or judged. I feel like you just tell your experience and what works for you which is beautiful.

  2. Sarah says:

Your mission statement is exactly what and how you blog. I especially love the first sentence. I hope my blog does the same, because balance is key to healthy living.

    PS: I read “F-F-F”.

  3. although i can’t write it all out right now i love that you just challenged us to write our own! no matter what kind of blog we have it can only be a good thing to define the things we want out of it 🙂

  4. I am not sure what my mission statement is yet… I think I am still trying to figure that out but I think once I do, I will post something about it along the lines of your challenge!

    And F-F-F 🙂

  5. Your mission statement is absolutely fabulous! And I completely agree with every single part of it. I get all of those things out of reading your blog…seriously I’m inspired in some way all the time! Is it bad that I don’t really know what my mission statement is yet for my blog? I think I’m still trying to figure this whole blogging thing out :).

And I read FFF as F-F-F!

  6. I love your mission statement, and I agree with everyone else — you certainly live up to it!

    And apparently I’m weird … I say “F-cubed.”

  7. Loved this! Because your blog mission statement is sooo true, I can see it in every post 🙂 I read it as F-F-F

  8. Heather says:

writing the THS mission statement last year was one of the best things I ever did for my sanity as a blogger.

also, “write THS business plan” has been on my to-do list (and my 101 in 1001 list) for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I should get on that 😉

  9. Love your mission and your passion for blogging <3
So glad to hear good news about your momma!!
    Have a great day… I read it F-F-F =)

  10. Love this post, as well as your mission statement. As a Christian blogger myself, I find it really important to not have my readers feel like I’m pushing my beliefs on them! I know that everyone’s version of balance is completely different, and know that my version just happens to involve Christ.

I’m glad you mom is doing better, Tina 🙂

  11. jobo says:

I love your mission statement!! Perfectly describes you and your blog to a T (to an F?! LOL). I read it as F-F-F myself 😉 Now you definitely have me thinking about my own mission statement! I have been feeling unorganized in my blog focus of late, maybe I need to really hunker down and think about it!

  12. Khushboo says:

This is exactly why I read your blog daily (sometimes more)! You have such a healthy, positive attitude which I adore! With my blog, I aim to show that healthy living goes beyond eating within a certain calorie count. To sum it up, being healthy to me is the outcome of “eating quality foods, sweating daily and living life to the fullest”

  13. I like this post! I should take on your challenge and do a mission statement for my blog too…great idea. I love your mission statement too. Very well said!

Oh, and I say “FFF” as “F-F-F”… Hope I’m not the only one! 😉

  14. I read FFF as “F-F-F” 🙂

If I had to write my blog’s mission statement, I would say that The Foodie Diaries is a place to share recipes and moments of our lives, to accept ourselves as we are, to be a place full of love and support, and to use this support to help each other through our struggles and achievements 🙂 My blog is a place full of happiness and love and appreciation for everything good in our lives!

  15. Great mission statement, and I love that you are able to share your faith with us so open and honest, you are an inspiration in so many ways. My blog is still just in its baby stages, but since all four of my children will be going to school now I’m sure I’ll be able to give it te attention it deserves. My mission statement will come in time.
    I usually say FFF 🙂

  16. I read it as F-F-F.

My blog’s mission statement? That is something I definitely need to think about!

  17. I think I read it as F-F-F; had to think about it for a minute! I honestly need to think of a mission statement, mine does not have one…yet. I guess I don’t really have a mission statement since my blog name is “char on a mission” haha

  18. I 100% agree with your mission statement and I think you’re very true to it 🙂

I definitely read it as F-F-F

  19. First of all, I’m SO glad your mom is doing better! Second – your mission statement is great! I don’t think my blog really has one yet.. it’s still kind of in the works. When I first started blogging I was really sporadic and now I’ve finally gotten into updating daily. So.. hopefully I’ll come up with something witty soon 🙂 And I read FFF as F-F-F.

  20. I can 100% say that I think your mission statement fits the way/what you write to a tee. I also like the challenge of writing our own, it’s actually something I’ve been thinking about for a bit now.
    I read if F-F-F 🙂

  21. Kim says:

Your mission statement is perfect – I’m inspired to come up with one myself – thanks for the challenge!

  22. I don’t have a mission statement…which is probably why I have so few readers. 😉 And…I read it as F-F-F.

  23. What a wonderful mission statement! Like you, I want to help other people find a healthy relationship with food. However, when I first started my blog, I never realized how much it would actually help me. So I definitely can relate to your obsession with blogging 🙂

And I read FFF as faith, fitness, fun. My mind just says the words instead of the letters!

  24. I read as F-F-F 😉

Love that you have a blog mission statement that is so YOU!

  25. Stephanie says:

I think it’s a great idea to make a blog mission statement. And I read it as fffffffff…. (One long, drawn-out F sound)

  26. peacebeme says:

Great mission statement. 🙂 I read it as F-F-F…makes me wonder how you say it?!

  27. Loving the Mission Statement idea! All good businesses have one, and you could easily be considered “good business” 😉 I’m constantly refining the blog – just put my Body After Baby as a page – just like you. I’m a copycat.

As I read it, I say the words, “Faith, Fitness, Fun” really quick in my head.

  28. I read it as F-F-F . Your passion and love for blogging + helping others truly shows. Keep doing what your doing, this was definitely Gods plan for you love!

  29. Having a mission statement is an awesome idea! I’m always thinking about what i want my blog to be and its definitely not just one category but writing it all down and sharing is such a lovely idea!
Glad your mum is on the mend 🙂

  30. Bonnie says:

Great post, Tina! Mikey and I have a life mission statement, but to be honest, I haven’t thought of a specific one for my blog. Your post has motivated me to take the time to do just that. Thank you (and I love yours, by the way!). 🙂

I read it as “F-F-F” in my head. Also, great news about your mom! God is good. 😀

  31. I love the idea of a mission statement. Yours totally encapsulates what you’re about, so it’s totally perfect.

For my blog, I know what I want it to be about, but I’ve never written it down. What a great exercise!

  32. Meg says:

Beautiful mission statement. I always come back to your blog because of your honesty and sincerity and encouragement. Muah!!

  33. I love your mission statement and that’s why I love reading your blog daily.

I especially love these two things you’ve focused on, talked about, and show to us readers: “Let others facing struggles with their relationship with food, body image, and self-worth know they are not alone and CAN overcome those things.” and “Show that a balanced, healthy lifestyle is achievable, manageable, and FUN.”

Love that you’ve admitted your struggles to us and are so honest about it, and at the same time show us how you can get past those struggles – it’s inspiring and motivates me everyday 🙂

And I read it as FFF!

  34. teresa says:

This is so great! Of course all those things you call your mission statement come through with everything you do here. You know how much I admire you.
I’ve written my own mission statement, but will look at it again and see if it’s still where I’m at and if I’m actually living up to it.

    hugs.

  35. I’m so glad your mom is doing better, Tina! That’s such great news. 🙂 I love your mission statement — I think it describes your blog perfectly!

    PS. I read it F-F-F. 🙂

  36. Rebecca says:

I’m not entirely sure what mine would be, although now you’ve got me thinking about it…

I usually think F-F-F. Hadn’t even considered Triple F until I saw it in the post, actually. 🙂

  37. Julia says:

hehe, i kinda like “triple f”.reminds me of a burger…

and i am so so thankful for your blog. your honesty, enthusiasm and passion motivates me on a daily basis!

  38. When I first found your blog, your mission statement was what kept me here and reading more! That simple line has so much meaning behind it and it is exactly what I am striving for as well!
My mission statement is- a college student striving to find a healthy balance. When I graduate this spring it will change of course a bit but the same idea!

  39. Ela says:

Yes, reading along with your mission statement: it’s inspiring!

So glad your mom’s doing better.

I will take up your challenge: I’ve been very challenged to define my blog statement recently, especially since starting my MFA program. So great timing! I’ll give you a shout when I’ve got it up.
    love
    Ela

  40. Jen says:

SOOO glad to hear that you Mom is doing better! Still praying!

  44. Bobbi says:

I don’t think you preach or try to force your beliefs on your readers at all! If you didn’t talk about what makes you happy – your faith – this place wouldn’t be your blog. Your mission statement is awesome! Oh, and I read it as “F-F-F-.” “Triple F” sounds funny to me for some reason. How do YOU say it?
