Hashtag It

Posted: November 11, 2011 at 8:07 am

Whew! This week has felt like one huge roller coaster. It started off with my post half-marathon runner’s high and then had a lot of thinking and reflecting going on, plus a bit of stress. Nothing too much to worry about or bore you with, but let’s just say I’m ready for the weekend. I bet you are too. So let’s have some fun with Fun Fact Friday to get the ball rolling already, huh? I thought you would agree!

This week = Twitter hashtag edition. An idea I stole from the lovely Chelsey. Fitting since I got Fun Fact Friday from her as well. We’re kind of incestual with our ideas.

It’s 11/11/11, which means Braedon is now ten months old. What happened to this little bundle?

braedon snuggle

I refuse to accept that he will be a year old in two months. I also refuse to accept he will be walking soon. #herecomestrouble

A teenage girl store clerk told me that it would have been “SO cool” if I stayed pregnant “a little longer” to have had B on 11/11/11 instead of 1/11/11. She clearly needs another visit to Health class. #kidsthesedays

I cannot wait for my next half marathon. The Zooma Atlanta Half in two weeks! In fact, I wish I could run a fun race every other weekend. #soaddicted

Not only for the fact I love the experience, but wearing race t-shirts makes me feel like a cool kid. I’ve been wearing my race shirts all week. #irunfortheshirt

On a completely different note, I take my personal training certification exam tomorrow. Which means I have been studying my butt off this week.

Even though I know that I know the material, I still get more than slightly nervous when in a testing environment. #thankgodformultiplechoice #wishmeluck

I sent Peter grocery shopping for me earlier this week. Normally, that decision doesn’t end too well. This time, it did. He brought these home for me.

IMGP2767-1

Gingerbread pita chips. And they are divine. #musthaveselfcontrol

For some reason, I have gone into total sap mode recently. I am completely sucked into this book…

…and badly want to see this movie.

As it turns out, they are making a movie out of the Nicholas Sparks book too. I will probably end up seeing that one too. #canthelpmyself

I know the winner for the SHAPE and Fiber One fitness package. #drumrollplease

  1. I love the hashtags – and I can’t believe Braedon is 10 months old. For real. It seems like just yesterday you had him! I told you from the beginning he was going to be trouble when he decided to make his appearance during a blizzard!!

Good luck on your test tomorrow, friend – you’ll do great!

  2. Good luck tomorrow!!! I loved that book! And I need to find those pita chips, my brother and I just devoured a bag of the cinnamon ones yesterday soo wonderful #addictive!

  3. Good luck on the test! I took my first nutrition quiz this week and was so nervous. I got an A, but was bummed I didn’t get 100 on it. I guess the good part about that is that I now know the ones I missed and will be better prepared for the final. I’ll be thinking about you and hope you ace it!

  4. I haven’t been getting your posts in my reader this week and I started to get really worried. Finally I clicked over to your page and found out you are just fine and carrying on! #thankgod Love ya girl!

  5. Khushboo says:

This was such a fun post to read! I am at work for another half an hour #cannotwaitfortheweekendtobegin

  6. Gosh Tina, couldn’t you have just crossed your legs and held on until November??? 😉

You’re going to kick butt on you test- Goooooooooood luck!!

  7. Haha! Because another ten months is just “a little bit longer” to stay pregnant for…
    Good luck on the exam!

  8. Aww that photo of Braedon is so so precious! He had a lot of hair for a little, little guy!

I’m so excited for you to take your test!! You will do awesome. I was the same way – I knew the material but always get nervous in testing environments. I just told myself to take a deep breath and do my best. You’ll do great.

  9. OK you are SO ready for the test tomorrow…keep studying, but don’t kill yourself! you’re going to do great and the most important thing is that you know the material for life, not just the test (you totally know this, but I had to tell myself that a bajillion times when i did my NASM). i’m so excited for you!

  10. Good luck on your test!! I know you’ll do great. 🙂

  11. Kelly says:

Goodluck on your PT test. I am sure you will knock it out of the park.

My life. Coffee is addicting especially the cinnamon spice from Dunkin Donuts. #myhousesmellssogood

    • Tina says:

Oh…I want in on some of that right now. My house is going to be full of smells from you (that sounds bad). But between the chili I make of yours and now a craving for cinnamon coffee, I’ll be thinking of you in the kitchen all the time. 😉

  12. Lee says:

    For me, it’s #jobsearch

Good luck on the exam! I saw those Gingerbread pita chips the other day and thought about buying them but didn’t know if I’d like them.

  13. Good luck on your test! You are going to rock it! My hashtag of the day #brrritscold! 59 degrees in my house when I woke up? I thought I lived in TX?

  14. Good luck on your exam! You are prepared and you will do great! I run for shirts, too. Especially long sleeve ones. I’m a sucker for long sleeve tee shirts.

    • Tina says:

I know! I want long sleeves right now too. I was actually pretty surprised (and kind of bummed) that the Savannah one wasn’t long sleeve. #beggarscantbechoosers

  15. Haley says:

Good luck on your exam–you will ROCK IT!!!!!!

  16. katie says:

I saw those pita chips and did not buy them because I would eat the whole bag, lol!

GOOD LUCK tomorrow!! Proud of you girl!! xoxo

  17. Those pita chips look amazing! All the best on the exam 🙂

  18. Aww time sure does fly by!! Good luck on your test tomorrow you will ROCK it don’t be nervous 😀 Happy Friday !!

  19. Amy Lauren says:

Good luck with your test! I’m sure you will do great, and happy 10 months to baby B too… I remember when he was born and I can’t believe that I have been reading your blog that long. Time really does fly by!

Your race shirts are so cute! All the races I do tend to have really crummy t-shirts that are just white cotton shirts with black print and logos. So jealous of the awesome R&R shirts!

  20. I can’t say I run for the shirt since the last couple of shirts I got are sooooooo ugly. Seriously. They’re not even gym-worthy, which is pretty bad considering I don’t exactly “put myself together” for a workout.

Hashtag for me at the moment is #cubelife. Sigh. At least it’s Friday!

  21. Ha! That comment on staying pregnant a “little” longer is classic.
my hashtag moments right now would be #dontwantmycoffeetoend #wishingIhadthedayoff #9daystillmyhalfmarathon!
    Happy weekend!

  22. You’ll rock that test just like you rocked your race!

    Happy weekend! <3

  23. Yum, can’t wait to find & try the Gingerbread flavor! #youhaveagreathubby

Good luck on your test! #you’vegotthis

    Have a great day! #tgif

  24. #ihatethecold.

not a good hashtag to have when you live in chicago!

  25. goooood luck!!!! you’re gonna rock it!

  26. cheryl says:

i bought gingerbread marshmellows. INSANELY yummy

  27. Paula says:

Those pita chips look yummy! I think fall has the most distinct food flavors..and they’re all good!
Good Luck on your test!!! I’m sure you’ll blow that thing away!

  28. Oooh, I saw those pita chips at the grocery store just a few days ago and ALMOST put them in my cart. Glad to know they’re tasty– I won’t try to resist them next time 🙂

    Good luck on your exam!!

  29. I’m running the Atlanta Half on Thanksgiving, instead of Zooma, but I’m with you on races being addicting! #racesarefun

  30. jobo says:

mmmm those pita chips look yumtastic! (#yumtastic?!). Love this post idea. I’d say is it #winethirty yet?

  31. Mac says:

Is that a new Sparks book? I thought I had read all of his books, but I don’t remember that one!

Good luck on your exam, you’ll be great! Nervous is natural don’t worry about that, just do what you do 🙂

    • Tina says:

I don’t think its the newest one, but I had missed it. I actually heard about his newest and put that on hold at the library (187th in line!!! gah!) and saw this one listed too. Didn’t remember it so added it to my queue and so glad I did.

  32. Good luck with your test Tina!!
I read Safe Haven a few months ago and loved it! This was definitely a favorite Sparks book of mine
Must try those pita chips too 🙂

  33. Emily says:

    Happy 10 months, Braedon!
You’ll do great at your marathon.
I keep seeing the previews for that movie, I can’t wait to see it!

  34. Good luck on your exam Tina!! 😀

  35. Those Gingerbread Pita Chips sounds amazing! I hope I can find them at my local store!

I cannot believe that Braedon will be a year in two months! Crazyness!!

  36. I love that pic of you crossing the finish line. You look so euphoric and happy. Awesome job!

My hashtag moment of the month has to be that I’m pregnant. It was a shock finding out and I’ve been surprised every day by what my body is going through. Best experience ever, but I’m still wrapping my head around it. #ican’tbelieveitsfinallyhappened

  37. lindsay says:

You gals are so clever, but you knew that right? I love the hash tag lines! they make me giggle on a friday.
    p.s.
thank goodness they don’t have the GF version of those chips.
    #iwouldnotbeabletostopatonebag

  38. Tonight’s dinner deserves its own hashtag, I think. We had spaghetti, lots of ’em!
    #nocarbleftbehind
Good luck on your test! I’m sure you’ll do great!

  39. I love those Rock and Roll shirts! Makes me want to run that race. #willrunforshirts

    Good luck on your test!!!

  40. Happy 10 month birthday to Braedon!
I really want to see Like Crazy too. 🙂

  41. Aww man, I have yet to get a race t-shirt that actually fits me… they have ALL been too big or too small 🙁

And is there a hastag for #beingattackedbyachicken ? cause thats what I’d be tweeting….

  42. Judy says:

I wear my running shirts all the time! It’s like a pat on the back for doing the race!!! I also read the Nicholas Sparks book and its amazing…by far his best one! ENJOY

  43. TC says:

Ooooh, gingerbread pita chips. Must get these! It could be like a fun holiday treat with out eating a plate of sugar cookies. Good job to the husband.

    Good luck on your test!!

  44. GINGERBREAD PITA CHIPS!?!?!? #wishingiwerenotintoleranttogluten

  45. That picture of you finishing the race ROCKS!!! 😀

  46. My week has been crazy! #somuchpaperwork

  47. Kiah says:

This post was actually perfect for me…because I needed a hashtag tutorial…yes, I JUST joined twitter. #latetothegame

  48. STUFT Mama says:

Love this idea and the hashtag theme. 🙂 I still don’t quite understand hashtags.
Um, yes, racing is addicting! And I’m glad I haven’t found those pita chips because I would have NO self control. 🙂
Good luck on your exam tomorrow!!!! YOu’ll do great!!!!!

  49. Denise says:

Well, first of all I have no idea what a flashtag is so I need explanation. Save all your race shirts and have them made into a quilt!!!

  50. I can relate to “#irunfortheshirt” – I thought about dropping out of my marathon at one point last weekend, and one of my reasons for staying in it was because I had just bought a marathon jacket the day before. So, #irunforthejacket 🙂

    Good luck tomorrow!
