Announcement Time

Posted: November 23, 2011 at 7:47 am

Well, I have had a whirlwind of a few weeks over here. I missed all of you so much! I can’t express enough gratitude for your patience while I got some important things sorted out. Some scary things. Are you ready for the announcement? Here goes!

I will no longer be blogging at Faith Fitness Fun.

Yes. You read that right. I will no longer be blogging here at FFF.

That’s only because you will now find me blogging somewhere else.

image

I sincerely hope you will join me at my new site and blog – Best Body Fitness at www.tinareale.com

You might wonder, “why the change?”

After getting my NASM certification, I knew I would have to make a choice. Sit on my certification and keep going with the blogging I have set up here on FFF. Or do something new that can allow me to start doing something with the passion and goals I had for myself when first deciding to get certified.

I couldn’t do both. I couldn’t run two separate sites. Or blog and seek out work somewhere outside the home as a trainer. I just couldn’t.

Which is why I’m here now. Taking a leap of faith and leaving behind the known for the unknown.

I shared this quote last week, because I couldn’t think of anything more fitting. This change is painful. It’s painful to say goodbye to a site I love. It’s painful to think of losing any of you. It’s painful to know my dreams could crash and burn right around me.

But, it is beautiful. It is beautiful to do what I know is right and trust the journey.

Time for the details!!! What is Best Body Fitness even like???

Best Body Fitness will be a site dedicated to helping others achieve a healthier lifestyle. A place to encourage a fit, strong, healthy body as the best body you can have. I will offer online personal training services (and am open to communication in setting up in-person training in my area). While I will provide online training, that is NOT the focus of Best Body Fitness!! It will still be a personal site.

20111122_170510-1

I didn’t want to give up something I love so much with blogging – and I won’t. We will still be able to connect in that same capacity over there. I think the community is vital to having a site that encourages others in a healthy lifestyle. Which is why I will still be blogging there. It will certainly take a different format with a bit more focus on sharing fitness, motivational topics, recipes, and such…but I refuse to turn into an impersonal site!

You will still get personal updates. Still catch up on my running, my family, my thoughts, “Stuffed With Emptiness” posts, etc. You will still see similar topics to what I cover here. Just at a new place. Not more than once a day. A bit more fitness, healthy living focused. And with training offered through the site at a very affordable price. A full MONTH worth of workouts and support for less than a one HOUR session with most in-person trainers. You know I love a deal!

PS – I will NOT be hounding you every day with “Train With Me!!!” comments!  Winking smile

Go ahead and check out the FIRST POST now! Then, pretty please:

Also, be sure to let me know if you’re interested in any training or if you have any questions. Send them to me at [email protected]

Before I sign off here, I must do something:

Thank you for making FFF such a wonderful part of my life. Thank you for the endless support. Thank you for believing in me. This isn’t goody-bye. It’s just a new beginning. A new beginning that I hope you will take with me. Cheers!

  15. Kelly says:

Tina…very happy for you. I hope this new business venture works out! But I have to admit that I am somewhat dissappointed. A few weeks ago you wrote such a heartfelt and honest post about how because you had the word “faith” in your blog name you lost out on a higher readership and some advertisement/work opportunities. You went on to say how you didn’t care because your faith was such a part and direct extension of you that it didn’t matter. I am Jewish and have never hid from that but I read your blog loyally because it was such a direct reflection of you.

I feel like now your new blog has no mention of the word faith and I feel like, almost, that it’s a sellout. I’m sorry…I would never mean to crush your excitement but I just feel like you are always so honest with us that I had to be honest too.

I am excited for you and I will continue to read your blog, of course.

    • Tina says:

You know I always welcome such honest comments. And you know me well.

In fact, this was a HUGE HUGE HUGE challenge for me. I was in such conflict over this. I spent many times bawling my eyes out when in prayer over which path to take with blogging or personal training. In all that prayer only the new name and the new steps came up. It was the only thing that felt right to me. Yet I still struggled because I didn’t want who *I* am to get lost in the switch.

I’m hoping that by still keeping the blog part of the site personal in reflection for the most part that I can continue to display my faith and what it has brought me that way. It’s been a bit of an internal battle and I certainly still refuse to hide my faith at all. I’m glad you will still be reading. You and I go way back in this blog world and I truly consider you one of my closest blog friends. Thanks for always keeping me honest, Kelly! Love you!

      • Kelly says:

I love you too! I would never stop reading your blog and I am proud of you for taking this step. Thanks for letting me express my honet opinions and I should have known that you struggled with the desicion. That is so you. Meaning you pour every part of yourself into all your actions and that always translates in your blog. 🙂

    • Tina says:

And oh – my decision for the site/name had no bearing on readership goals or opportunities. It jsut felt right. I want people to know their best body is a healthy and well one – inside and out, physically and emotionally. 😉

  16. SO excited for you, Tina!! I hope this takes off and flies!!! 😀
This is kind of what I do with Fitconomy (my training website and bog) but I just don’t give it as much TLC as I need to. I know you will succeed:)

It’s kind of funny. I become a certified personal trainer and the first workouts I turn to this week come from someone else. The book came in for me at the library last week and, after flipping through it, I couldn’t wait to give the circuits a go. Making The Cut includes a lot of […]
