Holy Cow!

Posted: February 8, 2011 at 12:48 pm

You know how I said yesterday ended up being a good day? Well, I left two little moments out that had this look of joyful surprise on my face…

tina surprised

First up, I got an exciting email from Roni (the head coordinator of the FitBloggin’ Conference). I have been chosen to volunteer at the conference as a live blogger! That basically means I will serve as a note taker during one of the conference sessions that weekend. Why is that exciting? Well, I’m thrilled to involve myself deeper in this conference and help out. PLUS it means I get a refund on the conference fee I paid. I will happily put that money to use in two other trips I have my eyes on for later this year. 😀

Then, I found out something even more fabulous. Remember when I wrote this post about two months ago? It served as my “try out” to have the chance to work with the fitness apparel company 4all by JoFit as one of their featured bloggers for 2011. Well, as my Facebook friends found out earlier today…

team4all2

Out of all the entries they chose me to help represent them along with 9 other fabulous bloggers! What a fun opportunity! Some great bloggers on the list, so check it out.

I celebrated all of this by watching the new episode of Glee. A little sweet included. We had care meals brought to us on Sunday and Monday night, both with a dessert. I like to save them and have one portion after dinner. Last night was a tough decision…mini peanut butter pie or a German chocolate bar?

pbj pie german bar

Yea I could have had both, but I didn’t need both to celebrate. Food doesn’t equate to the giddy feeling I already had going on inside. I know the desserts aren’t going anywhere and I can fit some into my balanced eating just fine. So, mini peanut butter pie for last night…

….and one German chocolate bar saved for tonight. I’ll catch you later!

Question of the Day – Which dessert would you have chosen?

Also, if interested you can find a response from PB&Co in the comments (or my summation at the bottom) of my last post.

  3. Ahhhh you’re won of the live bloggers!!? So cool!! And awesome that you get a refund of your registration fee!!! Now since we both didn’t have to pay registration for FitBloggin’ guess we are both going to HLS? 😛

Ooo and congrats on the Team4All but I already told you that earlier 😛

    • Tina says:

Oh yes, HLS! That sounded like a cheerleader. Haha. But I will be going to that one. Thank goodness for blogging $!

  4. Congrats! Some great news yesterday.

oh and I’d be all over the mini pb pie.

  5. Congratulations!! Well deserved.

  9. Contests on both counts, Tina! Awesome news!

I would have went with the German chocolate. One of my all time favorite combos is chocolate and coconut. So good!

  10. Yay! Congrats teammate! 🙂

    • Tina says:

😀 And thanks for the email. I was all confused, but thankfully we know its official now with the email from 4all.

  11. wow, congrats! that is awesome!!!

I totally would have picked the peanut butter pie, that looks awesome!

  12. Lauren says:

Congrats! I would have chosen the German chocolate bar – I saw a German chocolate cupcake yesterday that I was drooling over, but I didn’t have money with me!

  13. Congrats Tina!

And I would have picked the PB cake too 🙂

  14. heather says:

  15. Congrats! Sounds like a good way to start your Tuesday! 🙂

  16. Congratulations! Saw the note on the PB&Co and still wouldn’t eat it in that condition!

    • Tina says:

I’m not eating that jar. Oh no! It freaked me out to much. I just won’t let it keep me from having their pb again. Especially since they are sending me some free. 😉

  17. Liz says:

Congrats! How exciting. And good choice on the PB pie… assuming there wasn’t any dark chocolate dreams in there 😉

  18. I would have probably chosen both… but if I had to pick jist one, it would have been the pie 🙂

Congratulations on both pieces of great news!

  19. Congrats Tina! That’s great news 🙂

  24. Rach says:

    Congratulations, girl! That’s so exciting!!!

  25. Congrats!
I would have chosen the pb pie 🙂

  26. Congratulations on your awesome news!!!! Peanut butter pie would have won for sure!! 😀

  27. Stephanie says:

Wow! I am so excited for you! I would have gone with the peanut butter pie…only because it looks BIGGER. 🙂 lol

  28. Leashieloo says:

Aw, congrats!! And I would have definitely went with that PB pie!

  29. Congrats!!! That’s so exciting!

I probably would have gone with the German Chocolate Brownie because I know if I would have left it around for a night – the hubby would have eaten it whereas he’d leave the pie alone and I could eat it the next night. Now how greedy is that?! I’m horrible!!! haha

    • Tina says:

I should have done that. I realized after writing this post the husband took the chocolate bars with him to work. Although in all honesty, the pie would have been gone too. And we wonder where M gets her sweet tooth with us as parents? 😉

  30. Congratulations! That is such great news!

  31. How awesome! Congrats Tina! I would have chosen the brownie looking thing 🙂 I enjoy chocolate 🙂

  32. Congratulations!

I also would have chosen the Peanut Butter Pie. Very nice.

  33. Mellissa says:

When I do have dessert it is usually something chocolate 🙂
