Hunting, Hummus, & Hooray!

Posted: March 29, 2010 at 5:12 pm

As promised, I have returned with a post to update my Monday. I know you were waiting on pins and needles. Humor a girl, alright? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Well I do have M pictures, yummy food pictures, and the giveaway winner in this post, so you should be excited for it!

This morning started off pretty typical. I had some oats for breakfast, I don't know why I can never get sick of these in the morning, and then headed out to one of my favorite instructors' spin class. It was a pretty good class. It didn't feel as tough as normal, but that could be that I wasn't pushing myself as hard as normal for some reason. I'm cool with that though. All part of listening to my body, which makes me happy.

After the gym, we headed out to meet some friends and their kiddos for a Mom's Group Easter Egg Hunt.

all the eggs for some (easy) hunting

I bundled Makenzie in a coat, gave her a little basket, and watched her excitement. I was unsure if she would catch onย to the hunting tactics, but she picked up fast.

ready to hunt

pick it up

dump it in

And then she was all over the place nabbing those plastic shells. Luckily filled mostly with stickers and only a few with candy.

Victory is Mine!

She got enough of a sugar rush with the second activity of the morning - cookie decorating.

our cookie

We shared this cookie, then she burnt off the energy playing with her friends, and napped wonderfully when we got home. Which gave me the chance to put together this beauty for lunch and have time to savor every bite.

Roasted red pepper hummus, spinach & greens, baby bella mushrooms, red onion, smoked turkey, and some mashed avocado. With a perfectly crisp, tart apple and grapes on the side. This pita was so good. Hummus + avocado make the world a better place. Or at least my lunch.

On top of all that excitement, time for what you have been waiting for....the two Brothers All Natural Giveaway winners!! And they are - #20 Tricia and #7 Katie! Congratulations ladies! Email me at [email protected] with your address so I can get the information to the people from Brothers All Natural to send you your crisps. And for those of you who didn't win, keep your eyes open - another exciting giveaway will be coming your way soon. *hint hint*
