You Gotta See This!

Posted: August 4, 2011 at 4:00 pm

If you’re a parent, you know the challenge of actually capturing those random adorable moments your children create. It drives me batty how kids will say and do the darndest things but will cease and desist when you want to snap a picture. When you bring out the camera, they stop in their tracks and that amusing moment is lost forever. I can’t even count the times I have tried to capture Makenzie’s crazy little songs on film or Braedon’s quite hilarious “poopy face”. Don’t judge. I need blackmail material for his teenage years.

Over the last week I have actually managed to snag a few good ones and I simply must share them. I don’t think you will mind – especially when considering the only other thing I have to discuss right now is the massive ugly stye on my eye. Yea, I didn’t think that would entice you. Cute kids is where it’s at and you gotta see this cuteness!

Can you get a load of his eyes?! I’m in trouble. This boy will no doubt have ladies swooning all over him. They will have to learn to step aside. And Braedon…be a good boy now so I don’t have to pull out any “poopy face” pictures!

I have either created a monster or this is the most charming little thing my M has ever done. She literally wants to be just like mommy. Snapping a picture of her green smoothie! I wonder what aperture she’s using?? 😉

Now, hold onto your ovaries, ladies. Dudes? You hold onto…wait. Let’s not go there. You just smile and “awwww” over the video I’m about to share. That is if you haven’t checked out already because you’re all “manly and don’t care about this kid stuff”. I forgive you.

Finally…FINALLY…yesterday I managed to get another favorite of mine on camera. Braedon shaking his groove thang. The kid loves music and will turn on songs from one of Makenzie’s toys just so he can sway his little body. Oh, and his face when he gets caught? Priceless. You gotta see this!

Enjoy, friends!

Um, I’m thinking I might have to take a trip down to Atlanta in 18 or so years so my daughter-to-be can meet your little stud muffin!

  19. Your children are absolutely beautiful! What a blessing!

  20. Stephanie says:

Oh, I love the picture of your little one snapping a photo of her smoothie. Too adorable!

  21. Awww! so cute. Love the vid too. I used to get soo embarrassed of my parents as a kid/tween. Now I just have to brush off their “loving” attention. 🙂

  22. Sarah says:

    Your kids truly are adorable!
My mom (or maybe it was my aunt?) took a photo of me in the bathroom (I was 2, I think) with my 6-year-old cousin. Neither of us are wearing shirts; I’m on a training potty, and she’s on the toilet. The photo showed up in our last family slideshow/video!

  23. SO cute – both the video and M taking food photos! 😀

  24. Meg says:

Awww…. that is cute! He is growing up to be quite the charmer!

When I was little, I thought the garbage cans were where we stored stuff… not where we threw things away! Once I put all my puzzles in the garbage, and my mom had to go fish them out! She doesn’t let me live it down… and now my husband won’t either! 🙂

  25. Oh my goodness, that is by far the most cutest thing EVER!! And I absolutely love Makensie’s little voice and giggle in the background and her being like mommy taking food photos!! Absolutely precious 🙂

  26. Erica says:

SOOOOOOOOOOO cute! Love it! And thank you for the shout out 🙂 You’re sweet

  27. That video was awesome! You have adorable children.

  28. Nicole says:

    oh my, too cute!

  29. Maren says:

    Oh my goodness that’s precious.

  30. Karin says:

Cute video. Yes, my parents have a pic of me sitting on my potty in the family room. They were toilet training me at the time. It is a very embrassing picture. They still have it, and mention on occasion.

  31. teresa says:

He is getting so big!! Oh my gosh… I’m too old for baby fever. This is a dangerous post!
And what a good big sister…
We have that same cat keyboard. Ours is blue and green though.
    You are blessed.

  32. Your kids are RIDICULOUSLY adorable. Oh my word. I died when I saw that picture of Makenzie. Apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, eh?

When I was doing my treadmill runs a couple of weeks ago I passed the time watching old home movies of myself (because I’m conceited like that haha) and MAN was I a pain for my parents, especially when I was a little baby. Seriously every other clip was me staring at the camera while my parents were like, “Come on Bethany! You were just doing it two minutes ago! Show Grandma and Grandpa how you can ________” And all they would get from me was “…” Hahahaha.

  33. Awww!! That’s so adorable! 🙂

  34. B looks so cute in that first picture! 🙂

Does that weird you out M taking pictures of her food?

    • Tina says:

It does on some level because I don’t want her growing up analyzing her food in a negative way. I think she just views it as fun to “be like mommy” though. And I hope my stress over never addressing foods as good or bad or pressuring her eating habits or using words like “fat” with her makes a stronger impact.

  35. Ahahahaha…he can really get down!!! He’s going to be a killer at his senior prom 🙂

  36. oh my gosh!! you mus tkeep that in a file and show him when hes old enough that is amazing!!!!

  37. Rebecca says:

    ADORABLE.
Not even kidding, your kids get cuter every day. 😀

  38. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love that video. ADORABLE!

  39. sophia says:

Hee hee hee, love it, Tina!! I think the most embarrassing baby pictures are the bathtub ones…I don’t want anyone looking at my naked butt, whether I’m a baby or an adult! My parents actually have one of me with poop all smeared on my butt…what?!

    • Tina says:

We want to capture the craziest things as parents. Sometimes I wonder aloud to msyelf…”what in the world?!! you never thought you would do this as a mom!” LOL

  40. Nikki says:

AHHH! This is absolutely adorable! Children are the best! One of my best friends just had a baby, and I can’t wait to get to spend more time with him!!

  41. That is too cute! He has gotten so big! We have a picture of Max sitting on the toilet when he was really little, but the best part is that it looks like he’s flipping us a bird, but he’s really showing us a booboo on his middle finger. He was so innocent, but it was so funny we had to capture it on camera.

  42. Rach says:

Ahh! Such a cute post! Those eyes are killer and I just love that your little girl is taking pictures just like her mommy. 😉 And a dancing baby to end the post? Um, yeah… great post! 😀

  43. That video is the best thing I’ve ever seen! I love when little kids dance! And M taking a picture of her food? Absolutely priceless!!! 🙂

  44. Oh, Tina, how precious! He’s going to be the life of the party when he grows up!

  45. Ahh they are so cute! Love the video 🙂

  46. Sarah says:

That is too cute! I love how he is shaking his money maker! I try to capture everything cute but she moves so quick now that it makes it very hard.

  47. Mandy says:

hahahaha!!! So cute!!!! Both of them :):)
