Just Like Mommy

Posted: April 23, 2010 at 4:40 pm

My darling girl. She shows me every day just how much I am loved. Today after my shower, while I was drying my hair and getting dressed, she got into my discarded on the floor workout clothes. She wanted to put them all on to be just like her mommy.

donning my tank + sports bra

nothing beats that smile

Little does she know...I would do anything to be just like her. Carefree with my biggest concern how fast I can get out of my crib and go play. So happy just being myself and dancing, spinning, laughing. Not be able to go a single place without at least one person letting me know how smart, gorgeous, funny, etc I am. 100% living in the moment. Keep that carefree, loving, joyful, personable, content heart baby girl. Hold onto it tight.

  1. what a doll! I’ve often said that about my niece and nephew – wouldn’t it be great to just be sooooo carefree, just living and loving life. No worries other than whether or not someone was going to make them take a nap 😉

  2. AW what a cutie! You know I’m a sucker for photos of Makenzie!! Can’t wait til I have one of my own

    Awwwwwwww, so sweet!! 🙂

Every picture you post of that beautiful girl makes me more and more excited for our little one to arrive.

  5. Anna says:

Lovely post. A good reminder… to appreciate the joy in life – big or small.

  6. She is so adorable. SO sweet.

  7. Oh my gosh!! That totally reminds me of a story that I just have to share 🙂 When I was 4ish, I was *obsessed* with the Little Mermaid. So I’d have my mom dress me in green sweatpants (both legs in one pant-leg) and one of her bras (bikini top) and I’d sit in the bathtub singing the LM songs and playing with LM figurines. YEP….true story. hahaha

She is sooo cuuuuute!! The best thing about kids though, is that they bring out that carefree nature in us. Some of the most fun I’ve as an adult is running around playing hide n’ seek, or playing “house” with my little step-sisters. Not a care in the world and just soaking up those moments with them 🙂

    aww how cute!! xx

She’s gorgeous! I love that, don’t we all wish we could have that carefree attitude? I know I do!

  11. Heather says:

this made me excited to have babies 🙂 what a gorgeous little girl!

  12. Katie says:

Too CUTE! 🙂 My sister and I had a convo the other day about how ‘carefree’ kids are..and how we think God must desire we would all remain that way! (Especially when we shouldn’t be worrying anyways, and instead trusting in Him!) I think it helps to step back every now and then and realize that He’s our daddy..and He’s got it covered! 🙂

  13. jsutera654 says:

I LOVE this, your daughter is so adorable!! And I love what Katie said – it’s great perspective that we all need to remember more often, huh?

  14. Jenn (GH) says:

“Little does she know…I would do anything to be just like her.” So simple yet so profound. Love this post and your daughter is adorable.

  15. jen says:

Awww, she is so sweet. I have a niece her age and could just eat her up. : )

  16. Jennifer says:

So precious. I just love those curls. I feel loved like you also, but by the fact that my “baby” bulldog picks up my sports bra and carries it around in her mouth rather than wearing it. Wouldn’t that be a sight! haha

  17. Kelly says:

What a cutie! I love how innocent kids are…it always makes me rethink why I get so stressed! You have a beautiful reminder to look at everyday!

  18. Mellissa says:

She could be on a Nike commercial 🙂

  19. Krystal says:

geez tina, you made me cry a little!

  20. lisaou11 says:
