i’m so excited, and i just can’t hide it

Posted: July 16, 2010 at 6:07 pm

Haaapppyyyy Friday!!! I am super chipper today. I don’t know how that is even possible seeing as I woke up at around 4 am and could not get back to sleep and then spent a ton of time on the computer working and not playing. Well, there was some playing involved. <-- Click HERE to follow me on TWITTER!!!

So, I woke up this morning bright dark and early and laid around for a long while waiting to fall back asleep. When that didn’t happen by 6:00 I gave in and went downstairs. Reality check. I need to do that more often. I had time to get a lot done before Makenzie woke up and it didn’t cause any greater need for a nap by the afternoon. I am typically a morning riser and want to get back to that routine because it helps with the stress over the many responsibilities of a mommy blogger working hard to achieve new things at the same time.

Once the doll baby and I clothed ourselves in appropriate attire for the public, we ventured out to the interactive play center Imaginations at Play. What better means to excitement than it being acceptable to get dirty, wet, and flirty?

That would be her little boyfriend. I think we’re in trouble. But who am I to stop a budding romance?

Once I successfully exhausted baby M, we returned to la casa for lunch and naptime. I’m so excited! She napped!!! I needed that. I knocked out quite a few things I was working on. Bang, bang, bang, DONE! A lot of correspondence and editing of writing samples happened behind this computer today. Which leads me to say…I’m so EXCITED! Something is in the works. Hehehe. I must play the secretive blogger until it is all official. Until then, prayers will be flowing of both gratitude and trust for this chance. Reminds me of the Bible verse Proverbs 16:3 - "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”

Now, I’m so excited to bust out the yoga mat for a free 25 minute session courtesy of Yoga Download and to be one day closer to Saturday. Fun things happening around these parts tomorrow. One of which will be shopping. Thanks again for all your dress shopping suggestions!!

  • Do you like having extra time in the morning to get things done? Or do you prefer to sleep until the last second?
  • What are you excited about right now?

  1. oh, i adore getting up early to finish stuff…too bad my body never feels like it 🙂 i am really excited to hear about what YOU’RE excited about! 🙂

  2. Mellissa says:

The two little blond kiddos are just too cute!

I am a morning person all the way, I love feeling productive and having a long list done before Noon.

I am excited about taking a photography class and using a new flip camera.

  3. Oh I totally prefer to sleep in! I know that if I wake up extra early like that though, I should really get up and get things done. So happy you made it to twitter – your tweets made my day today (even thought I can’t participate while at work). I just love your energy!

    TINA BINA!
i haven’t commented in awhile but i am following along and just decided to say hi! .. so HI 🙂 lol

to answer your question i am also a complete morning person. i love getting my things done and out of the way in the morning..but that also prob has to do with the fact that i can’t sleep in to save my life, my body automatically wakes up before 7 everyday no matter what!

anyway-glad to hear you’re excited..cant wait to hear the news and M is looking adorable as always! 🙂

    • Tina says:

Hey Sunny!!! I hope everything is good with you. Thanks for commenting. It’s always good to hear from you. 🙂

  5. Kati says:

Hey girl! Just wanted to stop in and say hello :> Ever since I got pregnant, I tend to want to wallow in bed in the morning till I HAVE to get up and get ready for work :/ But before, sometimes I loved an early living room workout! Can’t wait to hear your writing news!!

    • Tina says:

Same here! I would always be up at 6 am before, but now can’t get up until I hear baby M. I might have to change that now.

  6. Ameena says:

I can’t wait to hear what you are excited about! I need some excitement in my life.

I definitely need extra time in the morning to get things done. I hardly need any sleep anymore! 6-7 hours works just fine for me now.

  7. Kimberly says:

I love getting up early and having time to myself before the day gets rolling. McKenzie is SO cute 🙂 That place looks like loads of fun.

I’m VERY excited about my hubby and I going away for our 20th anniversary!!! Can’t wait!! NO teen drama and just taking it easy.

    • Tina says:

I can imagine! Teen drama is extremely exhausting and I only had to deal with it 8 hours of the day when I was teaching. LOL That sounds very exciting. 🙂

  8. homecookedem says:

I’m so looking forward to hearing what all the excitement is about!! 🙂

I am at my most productive in the morning. Around 7 or 8 I am DONE. I lay around on the couch and let myself get sleepy for bedtime. So I guess that’s a good thing for a mommy-to-be?

Umm, right now I’m excited about the blogger meet-up next Friday!! And I’m also really looking forward to feeling my baby move!! I had a dream about it last night!! 🙂

  9. Oh your baby looks so cute.

I love having extra time in the morning. The problem is that I live in a country where I m the only one to believe this. Everyone else starts the day at 11.00 🙂

  10. Jennifer says:

Well I’m certainly excited to find out what you’re excited about! As far as my days go, I used to sleep in all the time. I could not drag myself out of the bed real early. But now I’m getting my body in the habit of waking up by 6 am and doing my half marathon training when the weather is cooler. I also think getting up at 6 or earlier is a great habit to form, because I know when children come it will be a different story, as I’ve seen you talk about. Have a great Saturday my dear!

  11. Hayley says:

Awww man!!! I can’t to find out what all the excitement is about! You’re making me excited!

I so love seeing pictures of M…she is too darn cute, and so photogenic! Just like her mama. 🙂 I love the pic of her with her little boyfriend..

Right now I’m excited because it’s SATURDAY which means the WEEKEND is here!

  12. She-Fit says:

Awh, your little girl is too cute! I’ve found myself recently waking up super early just to relax at home before the world wakes up. It makes my day ten times better, even though I might be tired at the end of my day.

  13. I love getting up early in the mornings! I feel like I’ve wasted half the day if I sleep in. During Fall/Spring semester I get up super early to hit the gym- I can’t wait to get back into them 😀 Other than that, I’ll clean, blog, Facebook (ya know, for productivity’s sake 😉 ), or bake if I’m up super early.

Can’t wait to hear the details about the big news! 🙂

  14. I definitely need my “down-time” in the morning. I like to get a good workout in, have a nice and relaxing breakfast, and catch up on some blog reading before I start my day. It always puts me in a good mood for the rest of my day!

    • Tina says:

Definitely! It is much nicer starting the day slowly. Not rushing out of bed to grab a waking kiddo. That is not exactly peaceful.

  15. Run Sarah says:

I much prefer extra time in the morning so I’m not rushed. LOVE the Makenzie photos, so cute! Excited to hear your news too 🙂

  16. Whatttt is in the works?! I’m glad you’re so excited about it!

Little Makenzie has a BF already? haha she’s already one-upped me

    • Tina says:

Nah…you still got one up on her. After all, we don’t have to live in diapers. Haha!

But it is crazy how much of a little flirt she is! How is that possible at under 2??

  17. Me-Linh says:

Aww she looks so adorable with her boy bud! I’m so excited for school to start actually. I’ll sound like a nerd but I miss going to class.
That’s great you got to tackle some stuff done during her naptime. I hope your weekend is going well!!

  18. Keely says:

I love getting up early! Sleeping in my entire pregnancy was such a drag for me. Now I get up and get more done before anyone wakes. No matter what the day brings, I feel like I had some productive time.
Such cute pictures!! Good luck with your latest adventure!

  19. I am sooo not a morning person! But I think once I have kids this will change—I definitely need some alone ‘me’ time and if I have to wake up early to do it so be it : ) haha

ps your family is sooo adorable
