Holy Cow!

Posted: February 8, 2011 at 12:48 pm

You know how I said yesterday ended up being a good day? Well, I left two little moments out that had this look of joyful surprise on my face…

tina surprised

First up, I got an exciting email from Roni (the head coordinator of the FitBloggin’ Conference). I have been chosen to volunteer at the conference as a live blogger! That basically means I will serve as a note taker during one of the conference sessions that weekend. Why is that exciting? Well, I’m thrilled to involve myself deeper in this conference and help out. PLUS it means I get a refund on the conference fee I paid. I will happily put that money to use in two other trips I have my eyes on for later this year. 😀

Then, I found out something even more fabulous. Remember when I wrote this post about two months ago? It served as my “try out” to have the chance to work with the fitness apparel company 4all by JoFit as one of their featured bloggers for 2011. Well, as my Facebook friends found out earlier today…

Out of all the entries they chose me to help represent them along with 9 other fabulous bloggers! What a fun opportunity! Some great bloggers on the list, so check it out.

I celebrated all of this by watching the new episode of Glee. A little sweet included. We had care meals brought to us on Sunday and Monday night, both with a dessert. I like to save them and have one portion after dinner. Last night was a tough decision…mini peanut butter pie or a German chocolate bar?

pbj pie german bar

Yea I could have had both, but I didn’t need both to celebrate. Food doesn’t equate to the giddy feeling I already had going on inside. I know the desserts aren’t going anywhere and I can fit some into my balanced eating just fine. So, mini peanut butter pie for last night…

pbj pie

….and one German chocolate bar saved for tonight. I’ll catch you later!

Question of the Day – Which dessert would you have chosen?

Also, if interested you can find a response from PB&Co in the comments (or my summation at the bottom) of my last post.

Congrats on all of the exciting news!!! You deserve it 🙂

I think I would have gone for the bar… I don’t really like pie… but I do like PB, good thing I wasn’t faced with the decision because I prob would have had both!

  2. Jess says:

I saw that on twitter yesterday and am so excited for you on both fronts! Especially on the Fitbloggin’ fun, how cool! I’m still SO excited that I’ll be there so I can finally meet your fab self. Weee! 🙂

  3. Awesome news! Congrats! Can’t wait to hear more about Team All!

  4. yay!! very cool/awesome money savings and SO deserved!! Love it!!!

  5. Helen says:

Congratulations on both of your achievements!! I look forward to reading those new blog posts 🙂

I probably would have gone for the bar…I’m a sucker for a bar!

  6. Stephany says:

I’m so excited for you!!! Yay! 🙂

I would have definitely chosen the bar, as I don’t like pie. At all. Pies and pastries do not tempt me in the least.

  7. Congrats!

(And definitely the PB pie. Good call. 🙂 )

  8. I’m actually not usually much of a pie fan, but that looks awesome so I would have gone for that. Congrats on the blogger conference honor!

  9. congrats again tina! both of those are such great accomplishments! 🙂

i would have chosen the chocolate bar. i really can’t say no to chocolate (and i don’t want to!).

  10. Both sound GREAT. The pb pie would last longer (you have a flaky crust and I could see myself taking my sweet time with it, pun intended) and the brownie would be gone super fast. I wouldn’t be able to contain myself! And way to go! And something you said in your post made me think of what our WW leader told us yesterday. “Food satisfies here (pointing to her belly) not here (pointing to her brain, as in emotions, etc.)” I hadn’t thought about it like that before!

  11. Allie says:

Mmmm I would have chosen the mini pb pie 🙂 Congrats on EVERYTHING! Holy cow 🙂 Awesomeee!!!

  12. I am so happy for you! Seriously bursting with joy!! Yay!

  13. Sarah says:

Eeeee! <- that's an elated scream. I'm so happy for you!

  14. Shanna says:

    Way to go!!!!

And I would be all over the PB pie. Nom!

  15. Exciting news!!! Congrats on both accounts!!

  16. Kelly says:

YAY on the PB…I have actually held on off trying that flavor because I can see an addiction forming. 🙂

  17. Congratulations, YOU GO GIRL!! 🙂

  18. EEEE congratulations!!! SO EXCITING!!!!!

Oh, and good choice, I would have definitely chosen the mini PB pie, too!

  19. Congrats on both Tina!! Very exciting!! They made the right choice!

I would’ve made the same choice with the PB pie… looks delicious! Although I’m sure you couldn’t have gone wrong with either. Enjoy your German chocolate bar tonight 🙂

  20. Congratulations! What great news!!! 🙂

  21. Congrats!

I’m glad to know your PB issue wasn’t mold (gross!) and that PB&Co. was quick to educate us all and resolve the issue.

I would have picked the German chocolate. 🙂

  22. Wow, congratulations with the conference!! I’m so happy for you and can’t wait to hear all about it from you 🙂

  23. Tracy says:

Way to go Tina! Peanut butter all the way.

  24. Lee says:

You’re thinking of doing the Savannah half marathon?! Awesome!

    • Tina says:

IF I do a half, that is the one I want to do. The rock and roll marathons seem like good races and fun ones. It’s at the end of the year. I have some family in Savannah and LOVE the city.

  25. Karolina says:

Congratulations on your exciting news! The pie looks delicious as well:)

It’s kind of funny. I become a certified personal trainer and the first workouts I turn to this week come from someone else. The book came in for me at the library last week and, after flipping through it, I couldn’t wait to give the circuits a go. Making The Cut includes a lot of […]
