Baby Eviction & A Heads Up
Catching up from the holiday weekend?
- A special message – my wish for all of you
- Announcement of the Chobani giveaway winner
- Our Christmas recap
So, how did everyone enjoy the remainder of their weekend? We had a little project yesterday. It had something to do with this special notice I sent to baby B:

I am issuing notice for EVICTION. Tenant must gather his belongings and promptly vacate the premises. Otherwise, he will be physically removed from the property.
He's being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made! Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, there are now leaks in both the upper AND lower levels of the home. On top of which, the landlord has received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances.
Please, it’s time to go!
My friend shared that back when we were pregnant together with our firsts. I found it hilarious, and feel that way now. Now that I have reached full term and the point my midwives wanted me to reach, I am sooooo ready. I don’t really believe in all the old wives tales of things you can do to start labor, but Peter & I figured why not give them a shot? Yesterday became Operation See If We Can Evacuate Baby B Day. We tried everything I felt comfortable doing that people list as helping start labor. I ate spicy food for lunch and dinner. We drove around for a couple of hours, which did give me contractions but nothing strong or lasting. Certain other “friendly activities” happened. And I even made it to the gym for an hour of walking on the treadmill and using the stepmill!
Getting to workout again felt incredible! I think simply the fact I am in the clear to workout lightly again makes up for the fact all of those things did nothing to prompt labor. I figured they wouldn’t, but it still made for an interesting day. I wasn’t disappointed, because I know things will happen at the right time and I can do nothing to change that. We’re in the home stretch and nothing could excite me more. Well, besides him arriving sooner rather than later. 😉
Before I sign off this post, I wanted to go ahead and give a heads up. As part of the BlogHer network, I occasionally participate in some of their programs which include compensated posts. A little while ago, I signed up for two of these posting requests, yet did not realize the launch date for both would be back to back. So, later today and then tomorrow morning you will see posts related to BlogHer. The posts will still reflect things I would normally discuss here on FFF and display my genuine style.
I’m giving the heads up not because I feel the need to explain myself for how I choose to support my blog, but because these are the first compensated posts to appear on FFF and I didn’t want anyone, especially newer readers, wondering what was going on with two so close together. I hope you come back to see what its all about and the importance of me staying true to my style. Thanks for understanding this is not the norm for my posts, and supporting the ways in which I run this blog. I couldn’t do it without YOU.
Question of the Morning – How do you deal with anticipation of a big event?
