Guest Post – Lily’S Q & A

Posted: June 11, 2010 at 6:00 pm

Hello Readers! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! I also hope you enjoyed Danielle’s Guest Post from yesterday. I miss you all and will be back soon. Until then, enjoy today’s Guest Post. A little Q & A from Lily at Lily’s Health Pad.

Give a brief description of your blog.

My blog is about eating, exercising, and living healthfully while on a graduate student’s budget.

What does blogging do for you? Why do you enjoy it?

I enjoy blogging because of the community I am now a part of. I love communicating with others who have similar views about food and fitness!

What is your favorite food? Nutritional value does not matter, so choose anything!

Cookie cake! It makes frequent appearances on my blog. 😉

What is your favorite type of workout? Why do you love it?

Body Attack is hands down my favorite workout. It’s a sports-inspired cardiovascular group fitness workout. I love it because it’s challenging, and the music is very inspiring.

What is a current goal you are working towards?

Recently my diet shifted from eating lots of prepackaged fat-free foods to a diet based on natural, whole foods. I used to be the frozen dinner queen! My current goal is to continue switching out Lean Cuisines for vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, and nuts.

What is something important that you have overcome, are working towards overcoming, or hope to overcome one day?

I just completed graduate school, and I’m currently trying to overcome my lack of job. I’m hoping in about one more month, this problem will be remedied.

What is your favorite inspirational quote?

“In the middle of winter I at last discovered that there was in me an invincible summer.” ~Albert Camus

What are some things on your "Bucket List"?

  • Run an Ultramarathon
  • Become a Body Attack instructor
  • Own a house
  • Learn to crochet

What is something you know now that you wish you knew 5-10 years ago?

Wear sunscreen! No. Matter. What. Tans are overrated.

Name one crazy, random fact about you.

I have been to A LOT of concerts. I met quite a few rock stars back in the day.

If you won the lottery, what would be your first big purchase?

Probably a house. But most excitingly, if I won the lottery, I’d be able to do all of my food shopping at Whole Foods!

List 5 of your favorite things.

  1. Weekends at my parents’ house
  2. Music
  3. Exercise
  4. Cats, especially Beatrice and Irvin
  5. Max and Clara, my niece and nephew

Question from Tina…Name something on YOUR Bucket List! 😀 I can’t wait to read them when I get back!
