Fiberific Pick Me Up

Posted: February 16, 2010 at 2:48 pm

Thank you for all of the get well wishes yesterday! Unfortunately, I woke up feeling even worse. The eye is a very tiny bit better, but the rest of me is not. ๐Ÿ™ So I'm once again laying low on the couch. It doesn't help that to keep the baby girl calm and not trying to jump all over me I have her doing this...

resorting to TV ๐Ÿ™

I let her play (notice the mess) and read me books (at the opposite end of the couch), but eventually that wasn't enough so it was these guys to the rescue. She adores them, it gives me a break from feeling like I'm going to puke on her pretty face, and it's not something we always do by any means.

Now back to the title of the post. Yesterday, just before lunch, I did get something that helped cheer me up. Check it out.

Gnu Foods Delivery

TWELVE grams of fiber per bar

seven delicious flavors to try

You know you're special when a delivery of bars packed with fiber delights you! And the fact that it was perfect timing to add to my lunch was awesome.

the illusive lunch photo - a turkey, laughing cow, & veggie packed pita with an apple

Lemon Ginger goodness

fiber packed fo' sho!

I tried the Lemon Ginger flavor and it was a nice touch when feeling under the weather. I could only have a tiny bit of it because my stomach wasn't handling much food yesterday. I did like it though. The wee one was begging for a bite within 10 seconds of me opening the bar. So I gave her one. What do you think she thought of it? ๐Ÿ˜‰

pwease pwease pwease is what she was saying

couldn't let mommy give her a bite - don't worry i stole it back ๐Ÿ˜‰

a smile of delight....and cheeseballness

Look for more specific information and more reviews coming up on these babies! I promise to do a post worthy of them soon. Time for me to retire to the couch again. I think it goes without saying that is all I'll be doing today. No gym, tutoring, anything besides waiting for some relief. Oh and getting some food in the crockpot for dinner tonight. That will take a herculean effort from me right now.

Who watched The Bachelor last night? What were your thoughts?

Sadly, I think he & Vienna are hitting it off the best. I really like Tenley though. She is so genuine. But I do feel their chemistry isn't as strong. I have a huge feeling that all of the Alli drama is set up and getting ready for her to be the next Bachelorette. Has anyone heard who the next one will be? My guess is her. I would rather it be Tenley though. I do like Alli, but I just think Tenley is awesome. Enough rambling about that I guess.

Lastly, I set up a Question Box to make it easy for you to CLICK and submit questions for me to answer. C'mon now! Ask me anything!!

  2. Lindsey says:

I hope you feel better soon!

I think Jake likes Vienna better as well…It seems he is more physically attracted to her. I dont care much for her though, she seems immature and fake….ah well, to each his own!

  3. Looks like at least one person gave them the thumbs up!

  4. Danielle says:

Your daughter’s smile is priceless ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m sorry you’re not feeling well! But dang…those bars would have cheered me up too. I tried the oatmeal raisin and it was amazinggg

  5. Get well soon. Being sick is so frusterating.

Those Gnu bars look so good. I’ve been wanting to try them for some time now.

  6. Hey Girl- lame to hear you’re not feeling super great- hopefully a little chocolate will help fix that! xo

  7. Mellissa says:

Keep resting and a little tv while you rest won’t hurt her ๐Ÿ™‚

I love Gnu bars for a quick snack. Trader Joe’s has a good selection of flavors.

  8. Ameena says:

So sorry you aren’t feeling well! Thank God for the TV though, right? That is the only time I turn it on for Maya, when I a desperately sick!

If the Bachelor picks Vienna I think I may stop watching that show. She is just so tacky and fake!

  9. lisaou11 says:

Pink eye and not feeling well? I’m sorry :(.

I hear he picks Vienna and Ali is the new Bachelorette. Blah. The show is too predictable now. Its like really…the whole job thing two season in a row?

  10. I watched the bachelor last night, too. I think he’s going to pick Tenley! I thought Vienna was sort of trashy

  11. Sunny says:

    hey tina!

i hope you feel better ๐Ÿ™‚

as for the bachelor, i think he’s gonna end up with vienna at the end too. for some reason it seems that he does like her and is more attracted to her than he is to tenley.. and i also think ali is gonna be the next bachelorette. she’s already been on ellen and i think all this drama is just a set up for her.

    anyhow, rest up girly!

  12. Jennifer says:

Sorry about your pink eye. I remember those few times when I had it and woke up that morning not being able to open my eye because it was stuck shut. Eessh…So hopefully you’ll be able to get relief from it soon. I loved seeing your huge amount of fiber bars! Those bars make me happy too! The recommended daily fiber intake is about 28-38 grams and I read that most Americans only get about 12 grams. We all seem to focus more on calories and fat content so it’s easy to forget about getting fiber. So I love the fact that I can eat a fiber bar and get a good portion of my daily intake taken care of. Have a good day and enjoy your fiber! ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. Vee says:

So sorry you are still not well. Glad you enjoyed your food delivery – it would definitely cheer me up as well. Get better soon!
No Bachelor over here so can not comment on that one.. I’ve heard it’s quite entertaining! ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Gracie says:

Tenley’s great, but I have a STRONG feeling it’s going to be Vienna. I feel like Tenley’s a little *too* goodie-goodie, and I’m pretty sure guys don’t like too much of that. Could be wrong, though! In fact, I hope I am….

  15. Melissa says:

My boyfriend and I are totally on Team Tenley. And he keeps getting mad each time Jake gives Vienna a rose. I don’t know what he sees in her!

And yeah….totally thinking Alli is going to be around next season.
