I Stuff My Bra

I precede this post with a warning – SCARY PICTURES AHEAD! SCARY PICTURES AHEAD! SCARY PICTURES AHEAD!

I felt exceptionally nervous for today’s six mile speed run. And probably for a different reason than you think.

the pain. Oh, the pain! What would happen with a fast run? Could I handle it????

Okay. I may have gotten a little dramatic there. But I still had concerns about this morning’s workout – speed work, sore chest, bouncy bouncy. You put two and two together. And it for sure doesn’t look like Baywatch either.

I told you all that I have slowly been weaning Braedon for the past month. Well this week came the time to finally drop the last bit of pumping. My body’s supply had decreased to the point where I maybe got two ounces out of that pumping. I figured I would adapt quickly to dropping that final bit of milk. Ha!

While it certainly could be worse, the tatas are making themselves well known around here with the swelling, tightness, and tenderness. Oh sweet heavens that sounds straight out of a trashy romance novel. And it’s only about to get even less classy.

I have been doing all I can to ease the process and help it along…including stuffing my bra…with cabbage leaves. Yes, that bumpy mess you see in my shirt is a bra full of cabbage. Don’t come over for our stir fry dinner tonight! Winking smile

I have also done the tricks of taking Benadryl to help dry up (only thing that worked after M), strapping the suckers on lock down night and day, and avoiding anything and everything that can encourage milk production. Well, except for one thing I refuse to give up…

You would be crazy to think I would go days without my beloved morning breakfast. I’m already losing hair at an alarming rate thanks to the hormonal changes. Don’t take my oats, too!!

Oh, you didn’t know you lose hair too in this fun?

A wad of my hair after one shower. And don’t say I didn’t warn you about nasty pictures in this post! I guess I better stop before I go too far over the edge. The good Lord knows I have already frightened you enough with dinner invitations including cabbage and tacky Baywatch references. Hope you’re having a good day!

  • What’s the craziest “remedy” you have ever used?
  • What’s one food you could not give up even for a week?

Blog Mission Statement

Morning, loves! How is this fine Wednesday morning treating you? I hope off the charts! Things are much better around here. I got the update that my mom no longer needs the respirator and her oxygen level shows in the normal range, albeit still on the lower end. So, progress is a-happening. Yay! Thanks for your support and prayers…and feel free to keep them coming. And I will keep you all posted.

So, you may or may not have noticed that my obsession energy for blogging has reached new heights recently.

Well, it has. All because I want to make FFF the best experience possible for each of you that choose to stop by and spend time with me – whether multiple times a day, once a day, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Although I sincerely hope you find FFF welcoming enough to hang around more than monthly or yearly. Winking smile

Our blogs can undoubtedly change over time. I know mine has and I work hard every day to help nourish my little baby and keep growing as a blogger…and as a person. Blogging helps me on so many levels and I feel thankful to have it (and YOU!) in my life daily.

This little ole blog has changed me in many ways and it only seems fit that changes show up on the blog as well – new looks, new material, new picture fun, and lots of new all around. One thing I don’t want to change? What my blog stands for. My blog’s “mission statement” if you will.

I hope if you regularly read FFF you will nod along as I go through my Mission Statement. I hope if you just started visiting or stopped by for the first time, you can feel confident in returning. I wish everyone could read this so as not to see the word “Faith” in my blog title and think I’m here to cram my beliefs down everyone’s throats because that is soooo NOT the way I do things. Or even my goal at all.

Faith Fitness Fun Blog Mission Statement

FFF header

Share my life in the hopes that others can see a healthy life goes beyond diets and beyond workouts – that it includes loving yourself, loving others, and loving the blessing that is life.

Show that a balanced, healthy lifestyle is achievable, manageable, and FUN.

Connect with others and build an environment of love and support in this crazy, hectic world.

Let others facing struggles with their relationship with food, body image, and self-worth know they are not alone and CAN overcome those things.

Provide motivation in stepping out to take control of improving our health one meal, workout, moment at a time.

I’m not here to preach. I’m not here to convert.

I’m here to say we can all find something more to live for outside of diet and workouts. For me that includes my faith in God, but I hope everyone knows they can find something more to live for and fulfill them.

Eat well. Stay active.

AND

Have Fun. Smile. Laugh. Love.

Faith. Fitness. Fun.

  • What would you say is your blog’s mission statement? I challenge you to write your own post sharing it!
  • Just because I’m curious: Do you read FFF as “triple F” or “F-F-F”??

It’s kind of funny. I become a certified personal trainer and the first workouts I turn to this week come from someone else. The book came in for me at the library last week and, after flipping through it, I couldn’t wait to give the circuits a go. Making The Cut includes a lot of […]
