A Christmas Miracle

A day full of miracles occurred in these parts today.

I slept in again. Which I believe, coupled with my day of rest yesterday, helped me to wake up feeling 100% better! No more sickies! A Christmas miracle.

I managed to shower and get dressed in something besides yoga pants and old sweatshirts. Before 8 am. A Christmas miracle.

I also truly, honestly, 100% felt beautiful this morning and loved my pregnant belly. I appreciate my body growing a baby, but sometimes its hard seeing such changes. I fully embraced those changes and reveled in my body today. A Christmas miracle.

Perhaps that sparked my post from this afternoon? Yet another Christmas miracle – I posted 3 times today. Did you catch my ABC’s post?

This morning I had to run out to the store to get some things for baking I have to do this afternoon. It was 40 degrees. That felt warm after the last week. A Christmas miracle for 40 degrees to feel like 70.

After shopping, I enjoyed a delicious lunch. It included pomegranate Chobani. I have never been able to find that flavor. It has now trumped Pineapple as my favorite. A (delicious) Christmas miracle.

Tonight, I baked up Teri’s Pumpkin Gingerbread for a holiday brunch party tomorrow. It’s a Christmas miracle I have refrained from cutting into them right away.

No matter what, though, I will not forget the true Christmas miracle.

That little baby saved my life. Thank goodness such miracles exist.

ABC’s of Me

Don’t ask what got into me. I just had the sudden urge to do this little “game”. The ABC’s of me – one word for each letter that I would choose to describe myself.

A is for Athletic.

B is for Balanced Blogger. Oh! Double points!

C is for Culinary. …… hahahahahahaha!!!!!! Yeah, right.

D is for Determined.

E is for Everythingtarian (a la Holly)

F is for Fit.

weights

G is for Genuine.

H is for Hopeful.

I is for Insightful.

J is for Jesus Freak. I just think that’s a funny term. But, don’t worry. My car does not look like this…

K is for Klutzy. Ain’t that the truth?

L is for Listener. Although I can talk your ear off too.

M is for Mother.

N is for Nice.

O is for Optimistic.

P is for Pregnant…or Phat.

Q is for Quirky.

R is for Rare. There is only one me and that is pretty awesome.

S is for Sweet-tooth. The most gigantic sweet-tooth ever!

T is for Teacher.

U is for Understanding.

V is for Veracious. Veracious means bluntly honest. You betcha. Especially on things like pregnancy, fitness, and my emotions.

W is for Whooty. That would be “white girl with a booty” and a term of endearment between my sister & I.

X is for Xcited for the weekend. I had to do the lame way. I’m not a xylophone after all.

Y is for Young. I’m the young one in our group of friends…one of the only ones under 30. Boo yah!

Z is for Zealous. I’m full of zealous passion for my hopes and dreams.

What words would you use to describe yourself? And I would still love for you to weigh-in on the discussions earlier about binge eating, relationships, and fat talk with friends.
