Now onto some Answers for your Questions!
1. What's THE ONE best thing about motherhood?
Wow, this is a tough one. I would have to say the incredible fullness you get from it. The intense unconditional love you feel for your child is unlike anything else and being able to watch her grow and knowing how much she loves me in return is absolutely amazing. It seriously fills me up with so much joy and her smilely cute face can bring everything into perspective.

2. What are 5 foods you don't like?  I'm not that picky but I can definitely think of a few.

  • Cottage cheese tops the list. I have tried many, many, many times to like it in all sorts of mixes, recipes, etc and I can never handle it! Thank God for greek yogurt!
  • Fish is another least favorite of mine. Except in sushi form or in Tijuana Garage's fish tacos. I don't know how I can hate fish any other way.
  • Asparagus. I had to eat so much of it the very first time I tried to prep for a competition, I still can't eat it. It is the only veggie I don't like.
  • White bread. In middle school we had to do this experiment where we chewed a chunk of white bread until it broke down completely in our mouths. The texture of it made me gag and I have never been able to handle white bread since.
  • Alfredo. Any sort of super heavy, creamy dish is not a pleasurable one for me.

3. What is your least favorite house chore? Well, besides any outdoor stuff (which Peter does), I would have to say sweeping and mopping the floors. A very large portion of our downstairs is hardwoods and it takes forever to do if I want them really clean. And it hurts my back!

4. What is one thing your husband does that drives you INSANE? He falls asleep on the couch while we are watching something together. I understand he's tired and that isn't what bothers me. What drives me insane is his stubbornness. When I wake him up, he will say "I'm not tired. I don't need to go to bed." and then fall asleep all over again. And the cycle continues. For at least an hour. Every night. But, I guess if that is my biggest complaint we are good. 😉

I have a few others, but I'll save those for another post. Question box is still open!

Part 3 of this hodgepodge will be accepting an award from the super sweet blogger Nicole at PreventionRD.

She passed along the Beautiful Blogger award and I want to share the love. Besides, I think this is a great way to let us find other awesome blogs in the huge blogworld. 😀

As part of the award, I need to share 7 interesting things about me and nominate 7 other bloggers. First up, 7 interesting things..

  1. I tend to eat the same things almost every day, week after week. I am a creature of habit, don’t have time to figure out what to have for lunch with a 15 month old pulling on my legs, and just get on food kicks where I want a certain food every day.
  2. I was a cheerleader and gymnast growing up, but have never in my life been flexible and despite my wishes to be more flexible, I never ever have the dedication to do yoga or anything beyond simple stretching that could improve it
  3. I was hit by a car going 55 mph (yes, myself…not me in a car) when I was 16 years old. I ended up with a big gash across my bum, a gash in my head, a hole where my elbow should have been, and sever road rash. Surprisingly, the road rash hurt the worst. The butt cut just made me laugh and I told all the doctors they were lucky to see my butt and I was screaming “I have two holes in my butt” to everyone in the hospital. I still have a dent in my head and a tiny bald spot from it.
  4. Besides my husband, my sister is my best friend because she gets me like no one else. I wish we could see each other every day like we used to.
  5. I am so bad at talking on the phone and keeping up with people more regularly. I find it much easier to stay in touch via the computer, which saddens me a bit because the true interaction from talking is so much more real.
  6. I will be refreshing and voting for Makenzie all day. I know that is playing the system, but I don't care. :p
  7. I spend most days in sweats or workout clothes, especially now that it is cold. I hate being uncomfortable and if I’m not going anywhere then I wonder what the point is? I should probably make more of an effort to look nice for Peter. But he says he doesn’t mind and I stay clean so it’s okay…right? LOL

And now I will pass it onto 7 blogs that I have found very recently, but really really enjoy!

Danielle at Coffee Run

Ameena at Fancy That, Fancy This

How is everyone doing today? Are we all groaning about it being Monday already? I partly am. Well, actually it's more just groaning about it being raining and icky today. And after such a gorgeous afternoon yesterday. What gives?!

Yesterday, after we had already established it as being a good weekend, I started to feel better again, so we took advantage of the enjoyable weather. Peter, the gal, and I headed to a local park for some playtime. We hit up the swings, the slide, and...the sidewalk! Makenzie faceplanted on the concrete as we were walking over to look at a rec baseball game that was in progress. Poor girl screamed bloody murder for a couple minutes, that is until a dog walked past and she got distracted by saying "dog dog dog dog dog woof woof dog dog dog dog" and we knew she was okay. She even smiled for her battle wounds pictures, bearing her slightly scraped nose and forehead with pride.

We headed out not too long after that to hit up the grocery store for a few items on the way home, as well as Subway for dinner. $5 footlongs are back and I love that for a perfect cheap and easy dinner. Eaten while watching this movie...

Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I liked it. Even though it was long, it didn't seem to drag on. That makes it good in my book. I am pretty easy to please with movies. Books, on the other hand, I am a tougher critic. My current book will be getting rave reviews from me though (review coming soon). I was actually bummed I was too tired to read more of it last night since we hit the sack right after the movie.

That brings us to today. I woke up feeling better. Not perfect, but all the sick feeling was in my head, which I can definitely handle. I decided to hit up spin this morning since I missed working out last week. I always go by the above-the-neck-sick being okay to work out with. It was a good class. I was winded and tired way more easily than normal, but I got through and felt better afterwards. And as the day has gone on, I continue to feel better. Awesome 🙂

And I'll finish this post with...the answer to Fun Fact Friday!!! The correct answer is....

#1! Okay, not something to be proud of so I don't know why the exclamation point. But, it is true. So, the story behind it...I had been dating this guy for awhile and we were better off as friends, but I guess we both were too afraid to end the relationship and hurt the other. So, what did I do? I cheated on him. Somehow it made sense then. And I didn't just cheat on him. I basically started up another relationship with my on again off again ex. The one I was crazy about for the 7 years of together/apart madness. He actually had a long term girlfriend too, but we just couldn't stay away from each other. We were each other's first loves and for some reason could never quite get it together, so opted to find any way to make our relationship full of drama. Enter cheating on our significant others for over a year. Smart, right? Eventually, the guy who was my boyfriend at the time and I did break up to be just friends and we are still on a friendly basis. But I never told him and I don't believe he has any idea to this day, over 6 years later. Me and my fellow cheater were together with lots of drama another 1.5 years after that, then off again, and then attempting to be on again when I met Peter and realized what a true man was like and ditched him for good.  Yea, whirlwind. So long story short. I was a b**ch and the whole "once a cheater, always a cheater" idea is not true. 😀

Any more questions for me?? Question post coming tomorrow so please ask away 🙂

And Giveaways!!! Plus, these are ALL awesome blogs...so check out the blog itself as well 🙂
