a whole bunch of stuff you likely didn’t care to know

Is it just me, or did this week go by incredibly fast? I can hardly believe it is already Friday! That’s one of those great feelings, huh? We have a fun weekend ahead of us with a fall party with friends and a drive to a little town in North GA as another tradition. I seriously LOVE this time of year!

Earlier this week, Gracie posted a fun post using an old school MySpace survey. Even though I never had a MySpace page, I still loved the idea and think it fits perfectly for a fun Friday post. So, here we go!

Is there anybody you just wish would fall off the planet? Not really. I don’t hate on people that much.

How do you flush the toilet in public? With my hand, but then proceed to wash well. I’m not too germaphobic.

Do you wear your seatbelt in the car? Always! C’mon now. One of my biggest (irrational) fears is that one day I will get in a terrible wreck. I have had “premonitions” about one for years.

Do you have a crush on someone? My husband. He’s pretty awesome.

mepeter

Name one thing you worry about running out of. Toilet paper. I hate that! And it happened last week.

What famous person do you (or other people) think you resemble? I have heard Jamie Pressley numerous times…but that’s when I had blonde hair. I don’t know if I see it really.

What is your favorite pizza topping? I prefer plain cheese or lots of veggies. Mushrooms are my favorite part of the veggie topping though.

Do you crack your knuckles? No!! The sound drives me crazy.

What song do you hate the most. That Cha-Cha song they play at weddings, dances, and things. HATE!

Did just mentioning that song make it get stuck in your head? No. I hate it that much that I refuse to allow it space in my brain.

What are your super powers? I grow people. I have always wanted one of those CafePress shirts!

Peppermint or spearmint? Peppermint. Only peppermint.

Where are your car keys? In my purse. Please don’t steal my car, though. I need that outlet to the outside world, people!

Whose answers to this questionnaire do you want to hear? Everyone’s! I love learning random crapola about my friends.

What's your most annoying habit? Peter would likely say how I have selective hearing…especially when on the computer. Yea, that can be annoying I bet.

Where did you last go on vacation? Philadelphia for my friend’s wedding.

What is your best physical feature? I think either my eyes or my legs.

What 3 things can always be found in your refrigerator? Milk, a jug of water to refill my water bottle, eggs.

What superstition do you believe/practice? I don’t believe it but I will always blow a kiss and “wish” when I see a clock at 11:11. Thanks, mom!

What color are your bed sheets? Why do you want to know? That’s a very odd question weird MySpace survey writer. If you must know, cream.

Would you rather be a fish or a bird? Bird. I think it would be cool to fly.

Do you talk on your cell phone when you drive? Yes. It’s about the only free chance I get to talk to people on the phone.

What are your favorite sayings? Bible verses. I know their truth and they inspire me most.

What song(s) do you sing most often in the shower? ABCs and Twinkle Twinkle. I shower with a 2 year old, remember?

If you could go back or forward in time, where would you go? I’m tempted to say forward to see what my life will be like and if I’ll be doing the things I think and hope to do. But that’s no fun for living is it?

What is your favorite Harrison Ford movie? I don’t know. Next question.

How many kids do you plan on having? TWO!!! Two two two two two two two. Do I make myself clear?

If you could kiss anyone who would it be? That hot guy at my gym. Oh, yummy!
Who are you kidding? My husband!!! Besides, when I go to the gym its all other mommies anyways. Darn.

What do you do when no one is watching? Savor the moment because that means I actually have a moment to myself.

Would you rather die in a blaze of glory or peacefully in your sleep? Peacefully because hopefully that means a longer life.

Coffee or Tea Depends on the situation and time of day. Coffee in the morning, tea for relaxing at night.

Favorite musician(s)/bands you've seen in concert? Aerosmith and Bon Jovi.

P1080532

Have you ever been in love? Yes. Three times. Once with the on/off again ex, once with Peter, and once with Makenzie. Soon to be four once B arrives.

Do you talk to yourself? How else do you think I get my crazy out? Oh yea….here to all of you. 😉

Okay. THAT took much longer than I expected. Kudos to you if you read through all of it! Now, I hope you pick any of the questions above and answer in the comments below. I want to know more about ya my lovely friends. For the record, I don’t say blends. You all are my friends…not to be categorized. Just friends. Happy Friday!!!

i’m not crazy, i’m quirky!

Back in high school my tagline definitely wasn’t “because life is more than diet and workouts” like today. My tagline simply stated “I’m not crazy, I’m QUIRKY!” I even shouted that in the halls once before kicking my good friend Thomas in the shin the afternoon before the BIG game. Obviously, I was very mature. And he was very kind to stay friends with me after that.

My quirky nature has not ended. My sense of humor still rivals that of a teenage boy. I still employ sarcasm as often as possible. I still dance around the room singing “jiggety jag, jiggety jag” with my sister to drive Peter crazy. Don’t ask. And I still have so many odd preferences and quirks that won’t change.

I’m not crazy, I’m just quirky for…

…refusing to sleep with sheets. We have the fitted sheet and a comforter on our bed. I hate sheets. I get all tangled and I prefer feeling a soft blanket against my skin seeing as I tend to sleep, ahem, nude or just in panties. I also need four pillows to sleep comfortably right now.

….for FREAKING out if someone turns the lights off while I am in the bathroom. I have yet to recover from the scary Bloody Mary stories of my childhood and an evil practical joke my friend’s older sister played.

…for wondering strange things. While making my coffee this morning, my train of thought went to “I wonder what would happen if you brewed the coffee with milk instead of water? Would that work?” I don’t even like much milk in my coffee so why would I even think that? My mind has no rhyme or reason.

…for automatically thinking “Is it skin cancer?!” when I discover a strange spot on my arm and cannot figure out where it came from or what it is. I think it’s a bruise, though. I get bruises without knowing how quite often.

IMGP7763

…for having to pinch M’s little booty cheeks after every bath. I just can’t resist! I wonder at what age that becomes extraordinarily inappropriate? And while we’re on that topic, at what age does it become inappropriate to shower with her, which I do regularly?

IMGP7754

for eating a goat for breakfast. More accurately, for being lame to see if you’re still paying attention.

…for having an intense distaste for anything resembling soggy bread. I will never try bread pudding. But, come to think of it, I will eat stuffing at Thanksgiving.

for sitting on the floor to take pictures of my food before eating. The hardwood floors make for a prettier background!

IMGP7677

…for using word like “Shitake mushrooms!”, “Ohhh…cean”, “Frickin A!”, etc as my cusswords. It’s better than my mom’s favorite - “Oh poodleheads!” No joke.

for singing the Ariel song “Part of Your World” from memory, start to finish, just because I can.

Clearly I have no clue where Makenzie gets her quirks from – like having to arrange my shoes perfectly lined up in an arc every time she comes in our room.  At least she does that and not something that makes me shout, “Oh poodleheads!!”
