3 Reasons I’m Jealous Of My Kids

Because you can be jealous of your children, right? I mean, come on…

My kids have meals prepared and served to them by simply saying “please”.

I would like my plate of cantaloupe, strawberries, egg, and cheese served up on a silver platter as well. Although, let’s make my order a giant flavorful salad with a side of cheesecake.

My kids have mad talent. Talent way better than my “I can eat a surprising amount of dessert” talent.

Do you see M’s fantastic art skills? I’m quite impressed that my 2 year old drew herself with no help whatsoever and it actually looks like a person. And Braedon? Well he has a super knack for looking cute.

And the number one reason? My kids get naps.

Oh the irony that the ones who drain my energy sources are the ones who get the break.

No Greater Pain

….than seeing your child in pain or discomfort.

IMGP1184

Poor baby B was diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection today. He woke up suddenly with a barking, wheezing cough yesterday afternoon and trouble breathing. I spent most of last night awake with him asleep in my arms. Although the infection is not anything severe and apparently caused by a basic virus, it has caused my little man’s air passages to swell. So, we have to do nebulizer breathing treatments. I say it again – there is no greater pain or sadness than seeing your child in pain or discomfort. I pray he feels much better soon….which he should, thank God. And thank you to those of you who have sent well wishes our way on Twitter and Facebook.
