C’mon you knew I had to talk about cake! 😉

Four years ago today I said the following testament to the love of my life:

I feel so blessed to be standing here with you today, knowing that we have a lifetime of happiness together lying ahead. I have always had extremely high expectations and I never thought someone would meet them as perfectly as you do. I cannot even begin to describe all the wonderful things about you…

I went on to try to articulate the character of the man I chose to marry. I have to say, I think I can do a better job today. So, Peter – thank you…

For believing in me and standing by my side.

You provide unbridled support to my dreams. You help me go after hopes that I could never even begin to imagine if not for you pushing me towards them. It means more to me than you can know.

Thank you for the dedication you show to our family and all the hard work you do, day in and day out. You are our rock.

P1140263

Thank you for the love you give our children, the way you interact with them, and the care you provide for them. They are truly blessed to have you as a father. And I’m truly blessed to have you as a partner in raising them.

Thank you for sharing similar interests – a healthy lifestyle - and always opening yourself up to learning and growing together in new ventures – more vegetarian dining.

Thank you for motivating me to love myself more, see my true worth, and grow deeper in my relationship with God.

 P1110753

Thank you for always making me smile and always making me feel wanted and needed.

Four years ago I started the best days of my life. Crazy to think that I only know the best have truly yet to come. Peter, I cannot wait to continue down the path God has laid before us. I love you. Happy anniversary!

  • What is a vital quality in someone you would choose as a partner in life? Mine is commitment/support!

We’ve grown so much together in the past 7 yrs and I’m so very grateful for him. Every single day. Happy happy!!

You looked unbelievably gorgeous on your wedding day! You are so lucky to have found someone like him! How did you guys meet?! (Sorry if you already wrote about this; I’m a new reader!)

    • Tina says:

We met through a mutual friend. I listed out this long list of things i would need from a guy if were to EVER settle down and she responded “I know him”. Then, she became determined to set us up. We both fought her on it for awhile, but then ended up at a birthday shindig for her…and the rest is history. We were inseparable from then on. 🙂

Happy anniversary Tina! May you & your hubby be showered with many more years of love & happiness.

I want to thank you for always sharing your thoughts & words of wisdom they are helping me tremendously. I have never been diagnosed, but I feel that to some degree I have a sense of disordered eating and body dysmorphia. A few minutes ago I almost binged on cereal (my fav) because I was having a stressful morning. As I was thinking about having another bowl of cereal I remembered your recent post about not binging when you were stressed and how you overcame it. I told myself cereal is just a temporary distraction & its not going to solve anything. So I put away the box and walked out of the kitchen. Needless to say I only had 1 serving… a small victory considering I could eat 1 box in 1 sitting. So thank you for being an inspiration & positive role model— this is why I keep coming back to your blog. 🙂

    • Tina says:

Picture me giving you a standing ovation right now. That. Is. AWESOME!!! Way to go!!! And each of those little victories will continue to strengthen and add up. YAY!

  40. Happy Anniversary, lovely lady! I hope you have a great day!

In a relationship, I need someone who I feel like I’ve “met my match” with. Because I’m going to be stubborn and I’m going to be sarcastic. I need someone who can keep up with it all. 🙂

  41. Congrats to you!

I love the gorgeous pic of you and your bridesmaids — fabulous colors and just radiant!

  42. You looked gorgeous on your wedding day (not that you don’t every other day as well)!! I love your dress! Such a cute post…so nice that you have someone so supportive and loving to spend your life with and raise your family with!

  43. Maura says:

Funny, I just wrote about this last night – I’d need someone who had the same beliefs when it came to social political issues. I’d rather not be debating with my husband day after day 🙂

Congrats to you and your hubs on your anniversary. Here’s to 4 more years of awesome love.

  44. Happy Anniversary!!

You are truly a beautiful person inside and out — and you were the most stunning bride!!

Vital quality – sense of humor (and commitment too)! My husband makes me laugh every day and I love him for it 🙂

  45. Happy four year anniversary!! This was a beautiful post and it makes me so happy to see a wonderful family like yours. My husband and I will celebrate our 1st year anniversary this August and I’m excited for what the next few years hold for us!

  46. Kelly says:
