These Women Rock!
Posted: June 24, 2011 at 4:00 pmWelcome to the weekend, my friends! Friday afternoon has arrived. And what better way to kick off the weekend than with a large dose of positivity? Time for another installment of your Strengths Out Loud! These women rock…and you do too. So, keep that chin up this weekend and play up your many strengths. Hugs and love!
I am my biggest cheerleader. I have an awesome husband who supports my crazy adventures. I seek new challenges and enjoy the roller coaster ride that comes with them. I love myself and have the power of choosing my mood.
I am passionate and full of fun. I am free-spirited and open-minded. I am very good at my job. I love working on my blog and am proud on how far it's come and how much I've grown since starting it!!
I am a good listener. I am there for my friends (even when it feels like a one way street or they have hurt me). My family is extremely important to me. My faith is the foundation in my life. I am creative and organized. I am enthusiastic about what I love.
My strengths are patience, optimism, and a positive attitude!
I am awesome because I have big legs and can do lots and lots and lots and lots of squats with my husband on my back. I used to want supermodel chicken legs for the longest time.. but then one day I realized that my legs, albeit big, are beautiful. And muscular. And strong. And mine. I think I will keep them.

I'm proud of the way I care. Whether it's my family, a stranger, or a friend, I get highly invested in how others feel. I am quite a lover, and I never want to make anyone feel bad because of something I did. Watch out - I'll hug you if I meet you... yes, you.
I go after what I want and I do whatever it takes to make it happen. My success is not measured by my job title, what other people think, or the dollars I make or don't make- it's measured by the impact I'm making.

I am proud that I have a compassionate heart and will put others first before myself.
My love for God and for my family is strong and unconditional. I stay strong and positive through challenging times. I am persistent and work hard to finish the task at hand. I am proud to have a masters degree in nutrition and to be a RD. I take care of my body by eating nutrient rich, nourishing foods.
I am loving. I am helpful. I am open-minded. I am a great listener. I am silly. I have a good heart. I am smart. I have a tough mind. I have strong running legs. I am optimistic. I am a good mom, wife, daughter, and sister!
- Any fun weekend plans?
- What made you feel strong and confident this past week?

it’s great to read women talking about their strengths and what they like about themselves in terms of what really matters, not mere physical aspects. after all, our worth comes from God, not our bodies! this week i felt confident by trying foods i haven’t had in ages, going out to eat (something i vehemently refused to do for years), and recognizing how much more than my body i am. and tonight it’s pizza night! i taught my best friend to make pizza dough and we’re making calzones for the family today 🙂
Wow this is an awesome post! I may just have to send you something one day…I would have to figure out what to say though haha. You always seem so positive and honest about your body and health, and yesterday I thanked my body in my post 🙂 thanks for the inspiration!
I love this! I need to send u an email soon 🙂
These are some pretty awesome women!
I love these posts, Tina! It’s awesome to see other woman flaunting their strengths! 🙂
Thanks for putting these together, Tina! I know it’s hard work. I am honored to be in this post among the company of all these amazing ladies. XOX
This is such a fabulous post! I love it! Weekend plans= teaching, family time, hopefully sleeping!! 🙂 What made me feel strong and confident? Continuing to teach pump as I push closer to the end of my pregnancy
Yea…you are AMAZING strong for that!
Love this!!! Janetha is amazing!!!
what made me feel strong? this week i’ve been in a completely new situation (see my blog) and honestly, i’ve felt very up-and-down. this post has helped me put it in perspective a bit really. yes i miss home, yes i wish mum was here for a hug, but there ARE peole full of goodness out there- including my mum- and just because they aren’t in the room with me, doesn’t make my life any emptier. they’re still there.
These are awesome!! I love how many women here said they love their strong legs. That is the best feeling. I agree, I love how strong my legs are getting too!
What an awesome dose of inspiration to get the weekend started off right!
Here, here! Those are some fantastic ladies and a few new ones I am going to check out 🙂
I totally forgot that I sent you my picture – ha ha!! Thanks for posting this Tina – YOU are such an inspiration to so many women. Have a great weekend!
You didn’t send me one. I’m just a creeper who stalks you. 😉 LOL
This is so much fun! I’ll have to send you a pic and participate!
What a wonderful post! I am excited to see Wicked this weekend. It’s a wonderful Broadway play and I can’t wait to take my boyfriend. I’m also looking forward to the farmers market and Costco tomorrow.
I want to see Wicked SO badly!
I love love this series — thanks for including me! Love that you have two roomies in this post 🙂
I noticed that too! I miss you guys!
Thanks for featuring me! 🙂 I love this series and hearing what others love about themselves!
Your positive attitude is so inspiring! I love that you encourage women to look at their best qualities. Sending my picture now!
I love reading all these positive and uplifting posts you put up Tina! I don’t have much fun planned this weekend since I will be working.
Hei,
michelles bloglink, last one, does not work 🙁
Thanks so much for letting me know! I fixed it. 🙂
This is a wonderful post, very uplifting and inspirational especially to young girls. It’s important to keep our chin up and think positive. This weekend I’m enjoying my family and so blessed to have them in my life. My boys keep me going and push me to be the best mom and person I can be. Have a great weekend Tina!
Tina! I can’t believe I missed this post… I was catching up on some of the posts I’ve missed and glad I read this one 🙂 What a great list and thank you for including me. Love to you and hope you have a great weekend!!
By the way… is there a way that you find out if you are mentioned on someone’s blog. I haven’t figured that out yet!!
I don’t think there is and I wish there was! I only get notifications if someone links to a direct post, but not my blog as a whole. That would be something good to know.
Wouldn’t that be great!! I’m beginning to understand this now. I was so confused why I sometimes get pinbacks but then I run across posts where I’m mentioned and have no idea. So the pingback will happen when a specific blog post is mentioned but not when the blog as a whole is mentioned. Strange huh?? You’d think both would result in a pingback. Oh well.
Have a great weekend Tina!! Oh, at some point I think it would be cool to do a series of posts on how to blog when you’re a stay at home mom. Maybe we could link up to each other and share some ideas 🙂 xx
