Tag! You’re It!

I have recently been tagged to share my 7 Links! I figure quite a few of you have seen this type of post going around and I eagerly wanted to participate. Thanks to Gabriela, Callie, Jenn, Heather, and Laura for tagging me! <— and I feel like I’m missing someone…eep!

Basically, I share a link for each of the 7 categories and then tag another 5 bloggers to participate. I’m game! Hope you enjoy my 7 links. 🙂

Exposed: It took a lot to post a picture of myself in a bikini at eight months pregnant. To this day, I think this post expresses the main message I hope to deliver through this blog more eloquently than any other I have shared. It humbles me and inspires me all in one.

I Had A Baby Last Night: By far my most popular post. The post boomed after I shared it and even crashed my site for a bit. I guess you all wanted to see my video of brand new Baby B. And now he’s crawling!!!! Time goes too fast.

Most Controversial

P1140380

I’ve Got Something To Say!: I don’t avoid controversial topics.  I will happily trod into the dark conversation zones from which others may shy away. This post isn’t really one of those. This post did, however, stem from a few controversial comments and emails I had received regarding how quickly I got back to blogging and working out regularly after Braedon’s birth.

I had received two separate emails with the following statements: “don’t you think its a little selfish to spend time blogging with a new baby?” and “you say take care of our bodies, but then you don’t do that yourself after JUST GIVING BIRTH!!”. It still surprises me I received such statements, but it also solidifies my belief in the importance of doing things for ourselves and letting negativity roll off your back. Whenever I think controversy on my blog, I remember how I felt typing this post in response to such comments.

How I Overcame Binge Eating: I get more emails about my binge eating journey than any other topic. I loved putting all those thoughts into a cohesive post to hopefully continue reaching out to those struggling and help others see they are not alone.

Surprisingly Successful

What 2147 Calories Looks Like: I had NO clue this post would get the attention it has. In all honesty, I worried the post would seem like a cop out since the bulk of it simply listed out my meals and their calories. I went with it, though, and am so glad I did. It got some great discussion going!

Not Enough Success

How I Create Strength Training Plans: I don’t really like saying any post didn’t have enough success. Having a place to talk incessantly and you all here to support that makes every post a huge success by my standards. However, if I had to choose, I would say my post where I laid out step-by-step ways to come up with a strength training plan. It took a fair amount of effort to create and I thought it was very helpful, but it seemed to get lost in the shuffle of other posts.

Post You’re Most Proud Of

Hard To Write: The post where I laid out my secret dreams for all to read was a pretty proud moment. My nerves raced as I hit publish, but I immediately felt so freed sharing my hopes. It helped motivate me to now take steps to see them happen.

That was fun! And now to tag some other blog friends! I hate picking off the top of my head, so I randomly went to one of my super old posts and picked a few of you great friends that have been around for a lonnngggg time. Muah!

Questions of the Afternoon: When did you start reading FFF? And how did you find my little space on the ‘net? I’m simply a curious cat after digging through old posts and trying to remember who all has been here for how long. 1 year or 1 day - you all mean the world!

  1. I started reading about a year ago… I think I found you from PBFingers?

  2. I’ve been reading *I think* close to a year now. I know I found you in the comments section of someone else’s blog, but I don’t remember who’s. I haven’t had the internet for the past two months while I went through a recent move, so I’ve been slacking in the reading and commenting department – but I LOVE your seven posts list. They’re some of my favorite posts by you too! My favorite thing about you as a blogger is how you don’t shy away from stating your opinion and tackling a tough subject – keep up the awesome writing!

  3. I can honestly say that your posts are definitely some of the most heartfelt and inspiring posts I’ve ever read. You are such a motivation, girl!

  4. I have been reading for just about a month haha 🙂 love all these catch up posts! they are great.

  5. gosh, i guess i started reading about a year and a half ago…? and honestly i don’t remember how i found it, but i’m so glad i did! 🙂

  6. Lee says:

I’m not sure when I started reading. It was before we had the dinner at Seasons 52. I think I found you from comments on Emily’s blog.

  7. “and I feel like I’m missing someone” –> ME! 🙂 It’s okay though, I know you love me. I’m like that nagging voice in the back of your mind.

I remember all of those posts – and I remember when you emailed me to tell me you had Braedon before that video went up. I was sooo excited and I still can’t get over how you had him during a blizzard.. in ATLANTA! So crazy.

  8. About a year ago when I first started reading healthy living blogs, your site was one of the first ones I really followed. I can’t exactly remember how I found it …maybe from Cait’s or Julie’s blog? Wherever I did, I am so thankful for stumbling upon Faith, Fitness and Fun 🙂
I look forward to your posts each and everyday and you are truly an inspiration and a wonderful person!

  9. Jess says:

Aw you tagged me! I feel special 🙂 And I will happily oblige – this will take some time though, I’m such an overthinker!! haha. I love your recap – and I have to agree, I think it will be hard for me to find a post to say that wasn’t “successful” – but we’ll see what I can come up with!

  10. I THINK you might have added me on Twitter? I’m not exactly sure. And I’ve definitely read for over a year… So hard to remember!

  11. Yay I can’t wait to read the ones that I’ve missed! I started reading your blog a few months ago! I found it through Julie’s (pb fingers) and I’m so so thankful that I did find it! I seriously love your blog so much…and everything that you say always speaks to me on some level! You are fabulous 🙂

  12. I started ready your blog when you were pregnant with Braedon. I didn’t readers were sending you those kind of harsh e-mails. I never once thought you did thinkgs too quickly. Glad you kept you head high and continued to work hard (but not too hard) 🙂

  13. I can’t remember how I found your blog but it’s been about 6 months since I started reading it. Glad I found it cause I love it 🙂

  14. jobo says:

I loved all of these posts 🙂 And I am surprised your workout plan post didn’t get as much attention as others. There was a lot of content there, and I remember reading every word, but sometimes, I think posts like that don’t get a lot of comments simply because the words are digested but there isn’t always a heck of a lot to say. If that makes sense. Hmm, I’ve been reading most heavily since right before you had Braeden. Found you through my sis you tagged here of course 🙂 I love your body after baby posts and your WIAW posts and the posts like ‘i feel fat’ – those always totally resonate with me!!

  15. I started reading last year — I don’t remember how I found your blog but I remember getting “hooked” during your 30 days of self love.

  16. Amy Lauren says:

I think it’s been about 5-6 months for me… I know it was after you had baby B but I went back and read some older posts on occasion too. I’m going back and reading (or rereading) these posts now :).

  17. Tina says:

I think I found your site while doing a search for binge eating, that’s my guess but not 100% sure.

I’m so happy I found it because it is one of my favorite blogs to read each day!

  18. Thanks so much for tagging me! I’m going to really have to think on this. Since I’ve seen this tag going around, I started trying to think about my blog posts and which ones I’d pick. Clueless LOL.

I can’t remember when I started reading yours, but it must have been right when you got started. I’ve been around for a while and have loved every minute of it 😉

  19. I have been reading your blog for about 3 months. I think I found it through a blog roll on someone else’s blog (maybe Kath Eats or CarrotsnCake).

As a mom of two, I enjoyed seeing your body after baby progress. As difficult as motherhood can be, it is even harder when you are judged for the choices you make. Sorry that you received criticism for blogging and exercising after baby, but only YOU know what is best for your body and family. Thanks for sharing!

  20. I think I found your blog when you left a comment on mine, but I can’t quiiiite remember! I know I started reading while you were still pregnant with B!

  21. I’ve been reading for about a year. I think I came across one of your comments on another blog, I just can’t remember which one!

  22. Megan says:

You found me! Once you commented on my blog a few months ago I started reading yours! I was SO excited that a “real” blogger found my little spot on the ‘net. 🙂

  23. These are all amazing posts, Tina. You continue to inspire me in so many different ways, but probably mostly as a healthy body image role model.
Yesterday I (finally, after a year of blogging) published a post about my struggles with food and how I came out of it…and I think that was, in large part, due to your courage of expressing yourself on this blog. It took me a long time to figure out how to write it in a way I felt good about it, but as I was writing it I thought about you and how you manage to write about your past struggles in a way that is incredibly inspiring and uplifting.
Thank you so much for all of your beautiful posts. They have really impacted me, and feel lucky to have people like you to look up to!

  24. Corey says:

oops, I meant “Corey @ runner’s cookie” but my computer kind of freaked out… 🙂

  25. Anne Marie says:

I honestly don’t remember how I found you! Isn’t that nutzo? Probably through twitter or a comment you left on another blog 🙂

  26. I think I kept coming across a year ago, but have become a dedicated reader in the last 4 months or so..and so glad I have!!!

  27. I started reading “post Baby B” so I never got to see the post from when he was born! I’m so glad you picked it so I was able to read it! 🙂

  28. I think I started reading your blog last September. I can’t remember exactly how I found it–I think I was just getting more interested in blogs/blogging and was looking through comments on other blogs I read at the time to find some more to add to my google reader!

  29. All of the posts you included on here are so totally amazing. Girl, you have such a way of writing, getting your point across, and being so genuine. All the more reasons to love you! 😀

I honestly can’t remember how I found your blog! Haha, is that weird? Anyways, I think it was probably about a year ago when I began reading. 🙂

  30. Jen says:

Well…I joined FourSquare and through that discovered HealthMonth.com (track goals and receive FourSquare badges) and through that met some Fitbloggers. I started joining in the Tuesday night chats and found your blog there…been reading for a couple months!

  31. I feel like your blog is the only one I reference back to for old posts, and several of those are the ones I look at most! I love your blog, Tina! I actually found your blog last year after you commented on mine. Your comment was the first I had ever gotten from someone who didn’t know me IRL. You will always have a special place in my blogging journey. Without that comment, I’m not sure I would still be blogging today!

  32. Marie says:

hi Tina!! I started reading your blog about 6 months ago and now it is the tops of my “must-reads.” I think your “period posts” and the entire series of pregnancy posts were the first ones I read… I am TTC and have admittedly struggled with some of the emotions that comes along with that. Your posts and your honesty and positivity are so inspiring!

    • Tina says:

I hope the TTC journey doesn’t have to be a struggle for you much longer. And I’m always available if you feel the need to let some emotions blow. 🙂

  33. I think I found you about 4 or 5 months ago, right before starting my own blog. I have to say, I love the topics you choose to write about. You have a great balance of “normal” everyday kind of stuff with “tougher” topics. Love it!

  34. I LOVE your blog. You aren’t willing to shy away from scary topics and you give your readers the full story. “Exposed” was an amazing post and you should be really proud of it, and yourself. Your blog embodies what I created my blog to do, teach others how to have self-love, without all of the numbers and judgements.

  35. I love these posts! It gives such a nice overview of your blog! I started reading a few months ago! I can’t remember how I found you but I am sure glad I did!

  36. teresa says:

hmmmm…. I know I’ve been reading since you were early in your last pregnancy. And I can’t remember how I found you. It was probably through another blog that you commented on. That was how I found blogs in the beginning. Can’t remember for sure though.
These are some of my favorite posts too!

  37. Carrie says:

Hey girl! I just wanted to tell you how much I admire everything you stand for on your blog 🙂 I’ve been a reader for quite some time now and just recently ventured into starting a blog of my own. I hope I can be as open and encouraging as you are, and also share the love of Christ with others as you have.

  38. Funny – I was looking through some of your older posts this morning and read the “what 2147 calories looks like” for the first time! I just started reading your blog a few weeks ago. I am fairly positive that I found you through pbfingers. Love your blog!!!

  39. Great round up! I had seen most of these but missed how you created your ST plans – thanks for this! and so cute that the video of baby b crashed due to traffic – love it! 🙂

  40. i was linked to your page from someone’s blogroll, and it easily became one of my favorite healthy living blogs. i just love how relatable you are and how you aren’t afraid to tackle tough or uncomfortable subjects. you’re very inspiring! part of the reason i started my own blog (which i haven’t done much with yet at ALL) is because of yours.

    thanks for everything!

  41. I think I’ve been reading for a year, but I’m not positive! Might be longer. I think I found it from a guest post you did on binge eating–maybe on Healthy Tipping Point?! I’m really not sure! Either way, I regularly read three blogs every single day. Yours, Peas and Thank You and Healthy Tipping Point. Sometimes I browse others, but I never miss reading your blog and the two others I mentioned!

  42. I actually started reading your blog a long time ago…I lost you for awhile…I think it was when you moved to wordpress maybe? Or were you always on wordpress? But I recently found you again and am so happy I did!

    • Tina says:

I moved to self hosted in May of last year. Maybe that was then? I lost you too! Its crazy how easy it can be for that to happen. I know exactly what you mean.

  43. I also tagged you in this! You are just so popular Tina!!! 😉

I found your blog when you commented on my blog way back (okay, October ;)) when I first started blogging! You will always have a special place in my heart since you were the first person (other than my parents) to comment. 🙂

(And I realize that I already tweeted that at you earlier, but it was before I even read this post! Haha!)

  44. Kendra says:

Hi Tina, started reading your blog last January, and esp. since last March been an avid daily reader (sometimes more than once per day! 🙂 ) Absolutely love your honesty and realness the most, and how you are very approachable and can relate to so many things that I myself am experiencing. In the depths of my brokenness last winter, I cried out to God to show me a woman who loved Him, loved her family, and loved fitness, and how she balanced those three…and then I found you! 🙂 I believe it was in a search on binge eating that led me to your article “Don’t Bow to the Scale” on Faith and Fitness website.
Keep being real, and be encouraged because we love you!
    Kendra

  45. Ela says:

That’s a great list! I’m just starting to really seriously work on my fitness, so your ‘unappreciated’ post (which I probably wasn’t ready for at the time, or was traveling) is going to come in super-handy.

I so know what you mean about pouring heart and soul into a post and then having it be lost in the shuffle.

  46. I’m not sure how long I’ve been reading, but I know you were pregnant with B. when I started. I think I found you after you left a comment on my blog. I’ve been reading regularly since I found you! 🙂

  47. Do I even need to say? 🙂

  48. Thanks for tagging me Tina! I don’t know how I found your blog but I”m GLAD I did! I’ve been a long time reader 🙂
