It Feels So Nice…
Posted: January 13, 2011 at 9:20 pmIt feels so nice…to have family to visit.
My parents are here for a couple of days to help us out. My sister-in-law, Marie, stopped by as well. She has helped us out so much with Makenzie. You can even say hello to her on her brand new blog!
It feels so nice…to get the chance to sleep on my stomach again. Not sure if the milk vehicles will allow it tonight, but I enjoyed every moment last night.
It feels so nice…to get a clean bill of health. We made it to the pediatrician appointment and everything still looks wonderful with Braedon.
It feels so nice…to feel pretty normal. Life just keeps on. I’ve even managed to get some laundry done.
It feels so nice…to have a real meal! My dad cooked up some chicken cacciatore with mashed potatoes and green beans. Yum!
It feels so nice…to have a small glass of red wine. I still had to time it so it wasn’t too close to B’s feeding time, but enjoyable nevertheless.
It feels so nice…to know life is just as it should be.
Question of the Evening – What “feels so nice” for you right now? And are you a stomach, side, or back sleeper?
His little precious face is too much. I am so glad you are enjoying this wonderful time in your life. And I bet that wine tasted SO good. 🙂
It did! Although I could only drink 1/2 of that glass. LOL
What a lovely post! This is a great explanation of how a woman feels after giving birth. Quite is what’s feeling nice to me right now 🙂
WOW he is beyond adorable…congratulations again and enjoy every moment 🙂
So glad to hear you’re having a great first few days back at home. It feels nice to have a four day weekend! 🙂
I am a side or stomach sleeper!
How great is it that your parents are there to help out! Baby B is so cute, I just love that little face. Glad everything with him is good. 🙂
Being home and having a 4-day weekend is SO NICE. Plus I have a jar of salsa con queso w/ my name on it. I promise not to eat the whole jar 🙂 I’m doing Weight Watchers at work which will be fun and motivating (it worked well for me before) and I’m a side sleeper mostly! I normally have to contort myself since the dogs are either on top of me, on my feet, by my legs, on my butt … you get the idea.
I sleep on my side, and mostly on my left! And it feels so nice to have sent in my last car payment today!!! 🙂
I bet so! We’ll be doing that for my car in September. Can’t wait to have that extra few hundred bucks to save a month.
I’m definitely a stomach sleeper! My husband and I will start trying for our first later this year and that is what I’m most worried about! I mostly sleep on my stomach, sometimes on my side and never on my back! Maybe I should try changing that now?! Hihi :o)
Oh Tina, he is so cute! I am so happy for you! I am a stomach sleeper and always have been!
Yea for your family being around to help! Enjoy it!
I’m excited for the weekend to get here. The only plans I have are laid back ones… and I love it!
Tina, he is SO adorable. It melts my heart! He and Finn will be best buds in no time. 🙂
I’m glad you got some red wine and got to sleep on your tummy…..I am DEFinitely a tummy sleeper! Well, a flopper, really.
Right now, it feels so good to be watching “Christmas Vacation” (one of my faves) – even if it’s January.
I think B looks just like a tiny (more masculine) version on M!
They do have so many of the same features. Especially compared to when she was a newborn. It’s crazy.
It feels so nice to be relaxing right now. 🙂 I mostly sleep on my back and I missed it soooo much in my late pregnancy.
Braedon is such a cutie. Look at all that hair! I love it!
Awww…glad you’re enjoying these moments- and that wine! I say it’s high time for some vino:-).
I’m a side/stomach sleeper…I’m also a cuddler! 🙂
Oh, and Braedon is adorable – congrats!
We like to cuddle too, but its hard with a big stomach before and now achy, tender boobs. My husband says he misses it. I just total robbed him of his man card with this comment too. LOL
Ha!
But now he has another cute child to keep him awake and away from cuddles! 🙂
Awwww, Congrats beautiful!!!! Lil B is gorgeous 🙂 i am so happy for you and your family!
xxoo
Oh I bet you are feeling utterly blissful!! I love that you had some wine too! That must have been DIVINE! Right now? It feels nice to have gone to my Group Kick class…something about a class at the gym that makes it feel way harder than at home!
Tina, Baby B is beautiful!!! So glad you’re home as a family! Hugs:)
Glad everything is going well!!! 😀 Yay!!!!
I sleep on my back…weird. 😉
awww, he’s so cute! glad to hear everything checked out at the doctor!
right now it feels so nice to have accomplished a lot at work today. it also feels nice to know i get to see my fiance tomorrow! and i’m totally a stomach sleeper (even though my chiropractor fiance tells me all the time how bad it is for my back. oops!)
B is so cute, & I loved the picture of M & B together earlier. It feels so nice to finally be home after a long day of traveling…sick!
so thankful for the help of friends and family, oh and WINE< yea!
He is SO cute Tina!! It sounds like you are feeling super relieved, and I’m so happy that everything went well for you with the entire pregnancy. Right now, having great friends is what feels so good for me. I don’t know why, but I’m definitely loving them more than usual these days! And I’m a side sleeper – left side to be precise! 🙂
it feels so nice to be snuggling in the warm comfort of my home when it’s freezing outside 🙂
It feels so nice to foam roll before and after working out! I am a side sleep, but I try to sleep on my back to help my posture… I can dream!
Never tried foam rolling before a workout. Does it help?
Yes! I think a lot. I have had fewer issues with my IT Band and knee on runs when I roll before. I think it all comes down to your (and your body’s) beliefs on pre work out stretching.
I have been loving your posts… I can just tell how incredibly happy you are 🙂
I am a stomach sleeper for sure… and a serious bed hog!
It’s great that we live right down the street from one another so we can help each other out! Braedon looks adorable in the car seat too!
So precious 🙂 Your family is beautiful!
You must be wonder women…two posts in 1 day and you have a 2 day old new born! So glad you did though 🙂
I’m so glad you are feeling good and getting into a routine at home. For me, it feels so nice to be in Austin this weekend – my favorite place!
So glad you guys are doing well! It feels so nice to know I get to visit so soon!:)
I’m a back sleeper;)
I cannot WAIT for you to come! And we have our session scheduled for next Wed. 😀 Thank you!!!
Glad the snow didn’t keep your family from visiting for too long!
I’m a side sleeper! Glad to hear you are doing well:)
Such a handsome little man! You don’t even know how badly I want to visit… 😀
For me, it’s really nice to be reminded of awesome trips. Tonight I went in for “band practice” at church and discovered that we’re doing a song I learned in 2006 on a church trip, and it brought back so many happy memories! I’m up on a cloud right now, basically. Soooooo happy. 🙂 (The other songs on Sunday’s list helped, too!)
And I am more of a side sleeper–I have to be curled up at least part of the night! The youth pastor thinks it’s because of how early I was born, but who knows for sure. 😛
It felt so nice to read this post! I’m so glad that you’re doing so well – you always make me see the bright side of things. For me, it feels so nice to be planning my sister’s baby shower. It feels so nice to be home and know that i’ll be sleeping in my own bed for the next few weekends. it feels so nice to be here with my puppers – I missed them terribly when I traveled!
Glad things are going well for you.
Right now it feels so nice to have friends coming to visit for the weekend.
I sleep on my tummy too!
It feels so nice to know no matter what happens, I will always have my husband to come home to!
I’m so glad you and baby B are doing well!!!!
It feels so nice to be happy and not care about school work that much. Not saying its not important but I used to be very type A and could not take time to relax. Now I’m just chillin on the blogs even though I have a lil more homework! All in time, right? 😉
Your baby boy is beautiful. Truly Tina! Good baby makin skills you got there!
Glad to hear you can sleep better now!
It is so nice that you are enjoying these moments to the fullest! Little B is just adorable! 🙂
Glad you’re enjoying the time with your family. It’s so great you have that support!
I’m a side and stomach sleeper – NEVER my back. 🙂
I am 100% a stomach sleeper! I am loving that the weekend is here! Enjoy it hun!!
I sleep on my stomach or side.
Braedon looks JUST like you! So cute!
I am definitely a side sleeper. Can’t really sleep any other way. Unfortunately, most positions hurt nowadays with my nerve pain so I don’t sleep well anymore.
As for me, if feels so nice to be with my boyfriend again, to feel safe again, and to feel so much less anxious!
So glad you’re feeling all settled in at home and nice to be surrounded by family and friends.
I am in awe at how “normal” you are already in your routine again! How very cool! and LOVED that you got to have a bit of wine last night. woohoo!
It feels so nice to have two long weekends, one spent away, to look forward to.
I’m a back and side sleeper, I only flip to my stomach if I’m REALLY having trouble getting to sleep.
Your family is just beautiful!!! Can’t congratulate you enough!! 🙂
It’s so funny you post this b/c I JUST got to the place where I CANT lay on my stomach or back so I’M JUST now starting to feel irritated and uncomfortable! 🙂 But, what a great cause! I can’t wait til I’m at your stage! How exciting. So happy for you!!!
woohoo for red wine! I’m a stomach and back sleeper…and lay across my bed on a diagonal with 4 pillows making a cocoon type thing.. I’m going to need a king size bed when I’m married 😉
I used to be a stomach sleeper before I had kids…but when I was pregnant and had to get used to sleeping on my side, now thats the only way I can sleep.
All is right since my baby girl is well again (she was sick for almost a week) and that it is Friday!!
It feels so nice..to feel the baby blues fade away and really enjoy my sweet baby girl! I love dressing her up and just playing with her!
I was a back sleeper pre-preggo but now I can’t stop sleeping how I did during pregnancy! Two pillows under my head and the body pillow between my legs. Love it :>
