Some Days

Some days all I want to start my day is a butt-kicking in spin class.

Old picture from about a month ago…but you get the idea.

Some days, I’m too lazy to add berries to my oats. So I just add more peanut butter.

Some days, I wonder what the heck Dr. Seuss was smoking.

Some days, I crave the flavor of summer.

Avocado, hummus, turkey, spinach, + tomato wrap. Mango + carrots on the side.

Some days, I wish I could have no responsibilities at all.

Some days, I wait until the husband comes home so I can take an uninterrupted 20 minute hot shower.

Some days, I have to admit to kind of being bummed The Bachelor is no longer on.

Some days, I cannot get over how stinking adorable my kids are.

Some days, I feel like unplugging.

And some days I wish I could spell too.

Some days, all I want is to marvel in the life God blessed me and know that all my future somedays are in His hands.

Finish your own: “Some days, I _______”.

  1. Some days…I just want to eat an entire jar of peanut butter. With salt ADDED. (Clearly, I have a problem.) Some days, I just want the power to go out, and strand us in our home with no distractions or responsibilities. Some days, I want to nap my afternoon away. And some days…

    I do. 🙂

  2. Maybe it wasn’t a spelling mistake — you probably did diaper for the day! 😉

Some days, I want to go back to my nomadic lifestyle, hopping from plane to plane. Some days, I want to eat an entire tub of ice cream. Some days, I just want to sleep.

  3. Evan Thomas says:

LOL about the Dr. Seuss thing. Those books are just not… normal. They gave me such unrealistic expectations about eggs and ham.

  4. Some days I take 2 naps!
Love that picture of your kids. M looks so old!

  5. I am a teacher and find Dr. Seuss to be sooo strange. I’m just glad I teach third grade and for most, it’s not daily reading for most of them. 🙂

Some days, I really wish I could take a day of work and not spend hours writing sub plans for it. 🙂
Some days, okay most days, I wish for my husband’s work project to end early, so he’s not living 600 miles away from me.

  6. I can’t get over how adorable your kids are either!!

  7. Katie says:

Some days I just want to read ALL DAY and not let any other thoughts enter my head!

  23. LOVE the photo of the kiddos – they ARE stinking adorable!

and that wrap? YUM – I would have made the exact same, minus turkey and… put the mango inside! 🙂

I laughed out loud about Dr Seuss… that is SO true. and awesome.

Some days (like today), I am floored by how Truly Blessed I am. I was caught in a DOWNPOUR of hail as I was bringing multiple bags of groceries from car to house… and I got soaked!! … and I was struck by how giddy it made me – I was thankful to be able to have groceries, to be able to walk in the rain, for all of it.
