Never Have I Ever

Posted: October 28, 2011 at 7:10 am

Morning! And happy Friday! It’s that time of the week again. Fun Fact Friday! This week, I decided to follow the inspiration I got from Michelle @ Crazy Running Legs and complete a “Never Have I Ever” list.

Never Have I Ever…

Eaten at a fancy-pants, five-course, deck-yourself-out restaurant.

Not that I would complain if I had the chance.

And on that same note…never have I ever eaten at a Whole Foods Hot Bar. It always looks really good, but if I’m just too cheap to eat at a high end restaurant, you better believe I’m too cheap for an expensive buffet.

Never have I ever…cheered on the Florida Gators. And that won’t be changing this weekend. Go Dawgs!!!

It Really IS The Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party!

Never have I ever…traveled west of the Mississippi River. I’ve traveled to more foreign countries than US States. #sadbuttrue

Never have I ever…driven a stick shift. I have a hard enough time driving an automatic. I don’t need to occupy my mind with anything else!

Never have I ever…cared for history. It bores me greatly. Although traveling and seeing artifacts/old architecture/etc doesn’t!

Never have I ever…felt fully recovered from my past eating struggles.

Never have I ever…signed up for Pinterest.

I’m holding out with all my might because the last thing I need is another online time suck. I feel my willpower waning more and more as each day passes.

Never have I ever…been able to do a split. Even during 14 years of gymnastics and cheerleading while growing up.

Never have I ever…wanted more than two kids.

I feel perfectly happy with my family just how it is. Here’s hoping God doesn’t have other plans. Winking smile

Speaking of God…never have I ever understood how He can love so completely and so unconditionally. But, I’m glad He does because it has truly turned my life around.

Never have I ever…seen a Star Wars movie. Nor do I have the desire.

Never have I ever…worn underwear. Just checking if you’re still with me.

Never have I ever…broken a bone. Even after getting hit by a car.

Never have I ever…ridden on a motorcycle, despite the fact Peter owns one and used to ride quite frequently.

Never have I ever…gotten a speeding ticket. Surprising because I tend to have a lead foot. And now my next post will likely be all about me getting my first speeding ticket. I seem to have that kind of luck.

Never have I ever…been skinny dipping. Er, wait. Done that. Who me?

Oh. You’re still paying attention? Dang.

Never have I ever…done anything like bungee jumping, sky diving, or jumping off a cliff. I have always wanted to do something daring, but wonder if I will have the cajones to actually pull the trigger.

Never have I ever…taken Makenzie to Disney World.

And I CANNOT WAIT for that day to come. I think I will be more excited than her!

Never have I ever…liked strawberry ice cream.

Never have I ever…realized I have so many “never have I ever”s. Apparently, I need to get out more! And stop now before I bore you to tears. Happy Friday!

  • Hope you will play along! What’s a “Never Have I Ever…” of yours?

  1. I can’t wait until you take the kids to Disney too!! It really it different seeing it through their eyes.

I’m impressed that you’ve never gotten a speeding ticket! I wish I could say that was true for me.

I love that you are done having kids – I don’t feel done, but I also worry that I won’t ever feel that way. I thought that 2 was going to be it, but I have SUCH an itch for 3. (I guess that’s my never ever — I never ever thought I would want a 3rd kid!)

and lastly – Pinterest is SO ADDICTING but I do love it and have gotten some awesome ideas from it!

  2. I love how you write like you are talking 😀

Hmm, let me think. Never have I ever been to the east cost or seen any major national landmarks. Never have a I ever been asked out on a real date.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. I’m so glad I’m not the only one still resisting Pintrest because of the time suck factor.

  4. Yeah Star Wars movies rock, as does Pinterest, but it is a total time suck and one of those things that sort of makes you wish you had way more time to be creative on a day to day basis 🙂

But moving on along the movie front…Never Have I Ever seen “The Karate Kid” the original…which my husband finds to be a travesty and totally odd since it came out during my generation and I honestly have no good reason why I never did. We even own it now and I still haven’t watched it haha.

  5. Ah, I’m with you on the Star Wars. And I have no desire to change that!

‘Tis the season… Never have I ever seen a ghost!

  6. Ela says:

Fun post! I wish I could think of something fun to share–blanking right now. Never have I ever been scuba diving, or other kind of diving, even years living in HI!
