My 1st Article!

Posted: June 15, 2010 at 6:13 pm

Today has been MUCH better. I slept enough last night and took two naps, which helped a lot. Perhaps locking my keys in my car and getting free A/C at Bed, Bath, & Beyond for a couple hours helped me feel better too. 😉 It was interesting to have to entertain a 20 month old in Bed, Bath, & Beyond while waiting for Peter to bring a spare key. Apparently M likes those handheld vibrating massage thingies. Lovely. I sounded like I was walking around the store with a vibrator in my cart! The things parents will do to keep their kids happy.

In lieu of doing a full post today, I am going to link to the article I wrote for the online magazine Faith & Fitness. This was my first opportunity writing outside of the blog and I would REALLY appreciate it if you all would click over and give it a read (or even a quick skim).

Don’t Bow to the Scale…You’re More Than A Number by Tina Reale

Please let me know what you think!!!!

I think it’s a great article Tina. I didn’t know the fitness was affecting your relationship with your daughter. I’m so happy for you now that you are doing fitness and eating well for HEALTH and a balanced life. Congrats on the article!

  3. LOVED the article Tina! It’s so true what you said about numbers providing a sense of security/control. And it is soo important to not lose sight of the reason you started a particular journey. I love the family photo at the end- so beautiful!

  4. First of all…YAY, you’re back! 🙂

Secondly, that article is amazing. It truly is. I especially liked how you addressed the connection between prayer and weight/health “success.” I too often think that those things are too trivial for God, so I don’t bother praying about them. So I have to remind myself that God is concerned with EVERY area of my life!

Congrats on your first article! I can’t help but think that there are more to come 🙂

  5. As if it would be a bad article! Loved it girl.

But once it was over, I had no desire to run or workout. i’m slowly getting back into it, but it has been tough. Thanks for sharing – glad to know someone else has been through it and moved past it.
