Rainy Days
Posted: February 5, 2010 at 3:03 pmIt's raining, windy, chilly, and just plain ick here in my neck of the woods.
So fortunately, today is a day that we don't have any plans. Normally on Fridays, there is a Mom's Group Activity that I would go to, but we are opting out today. It's lunch at this mecca of health...
You can imagine with that option and the weather, the combo would keep me at home today. And mostly we stayed in because I don't want to bring Makenzie out in this weather when she has been coughing a good bit recently.
That doesn't mean the day can't be fun π We can do all sorts of things. Like get rabies...
...or are we really enjoying our greek yogurt for breakfast? You decide π
And we can play princess....
And we can't forget creating masterpieces like Van Gogh......or perhaps like Jackson Pollock would be more correct? π
And that's all before 10 am! Just imagine what the rest of the day will be like. You're jealous aren't you? Β π While it may not be the most exciting and eventful day, it is a blessed and fulfilling one. We can leave the busy parts to the weekend. Our weekend plans are going to dinner and to a local hockey game with a big group of our friends from church on Saturday...

And then Sunday, after church and tutoring, we are going to my friend's new apartment for the Superbowl and an engagement celebration.Β Her guy proposed last weekend, so we will be giving congratulations and checking out their new place π Should be fun.
What are your weekend plans? What is your favorite part of a low-key day? Today, mine will be getting caught up on some cleaning....but mostly reading a good book with a cup of joe during her naps π

I wish it was raining here (instead of snowing)! I’ll probably be cleaning too, and doing homework
Ooh, Makenzie is so adorable. You can see how much fun she is having! π
I enjoy rainy days. It rains over here in England all the time. π Your day looks like a lot of fun!
your daughter is precious!!
It’s cold and snowy here. Can’t wait for spring to finally arrive. I’m in dire need of some warmer temps!
Same weather here… Coooold rain. I just worked out and then a hot bath and a quick nap :). Nice rainy day activities. She smiles so big! Is she cheesing for the camera, or always like that?

My weekend plans=study. fun huh?
Those pics are precious!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. π
I love just lounging on the couch watching some re-runs of trashy reality TV or a Lifetime Movie π
I enjoyed ending my Friday today with a 30 min massage! Came home and tidied up the house, readings blogs now, and then probably out to eat with the hubs. :> Have a great weekend! Your kiddo is too cute.
What a cute little princess!! The queen ain’t so bad herself π My weekend will be pretty low key since its going to snow a lot here. Have a great weekend Tina!
love this line: she may be the princess…but I’M the queen!
totally awesome. i feel the same way with mine LOL
I would opt out of McD’s too. I buy healthful groceries for my daughter to have at he babysitter’s home and she has still given her McDonald’s in a “pinch”. So, I packed her diaper bag with Clif Zbars “just in case” …I think she got the hint π I love that Princess pic! I sure do feel like that some days π
Ahhh…I haven’t had a good book in my hands for months and months. What is a good book to read nowadays?
It’s raining all day here, too. I love low-key days because I get to get all the odd jobs done.
Your daughter is SO cute! I love the Van Gogh picture.
I love low-key days where I can catch up on my reading or TV. They are few and far between!
My fav part is lounging around and reading or dancing around with music…or trying to craft!
We got 8 inches here and I am with my whole fam and 2 nieces π Blessed for sure

Oh, I hope you have fun at the hockey game! I love hockey! When they had a team in Greenville, I went all the time. I’ve even been to Gwinnett for a few games!
I was supposed to be in Boston this weekend but got snowed in :(. So now the whole weekend is low key by default, which means lots of playing in the kitchen for me!!
