30 days of self love – worth

Day 30. Amazingly enough, we have already arrived. The time passed by in a blur, but hopefully a blur caused by a whirlwind of emotion, self-discovery, and reflection that shook up our insides to put them in at least slightly better order. I know that I grew and learned more about myself over the past month and I sincerely hope you did too. I wish for each of us to know our worth in this world more fully than we may have 30 days ago. I long for us all to fully believe we hold so much value, so we may go out and live our lives with the beauty that unmistakably defines us. You are worthy because:

Your body does miraculous things. It carries you through life and gives you the physical capacity to do many things you love. It provides health and vitality to enjoy all life has to offer. Your body is pretty freaking awesome!! Never forget the gifts of your body.

Remember that those body parts which share so many gifts are also gorgeous as well. Even if they don’t fit in with the standards of society, they are still beautiful. Our unique physical attributes make us lovely.

Even more beautiful than all of that, however, is what makes up who we are. None of us are perfect, but all of us are wonderful. We each have our own strengths which can help uplift others. We each have our own passions, which can make life more exciting. We each have something to offer the world.

Go forth from this 30 days and continue to drain every drop of sweetness from life. You deserve it.  Always remember to see the light at the end of the tunnel and believe you have the strength and will to reach it. Take joy in every day because you have the power to find it and claim it for your own. Don’t let trivial matters of numbers and physical appearance define you. Refuse to lose your life in a search for control, a denial of forgiveness, or fear to try new challenges. Live so you may love yourself. And then love yourself more, so you may live more. That is my wish for you. To let it really sink in, listen to this song if you can. It’s how I feel for each of you. Thank you for participating! It means more to me than you can ever know. Love, Tina 🙂

Please let me know if you post any sort of cumulative reflection of the 30 Days on your blog. I would love to read it. With the end of the 30 Days, I will go back to my normal 2x/day posting schedule. Look for my next  post  around 5 or 6 pm with my thoughts on where we go from here. I sincerely hope that each of you continues with me. Much love to you all!

these are a few of my favorite things

Computer glitches plagued my day, including a lazy Google Reader not publishing a post I really enjoyed writing. Today was also pretty hectic overall with lots to do, so I decided that tonight I need to just focus on a few of my favorite things. I planned on doing one of the Reader’s Requests I received, but my brain feels too fried. Still let me know if you have a topic you want me to post about though. And please check out today’s 30 Days post. Then look for a wrap-up post to tie it all together tomorrow and finish out the month. 🙂

My Favorite Place: Cuddled in Peter’s arms. Neither of us wanted to get out of bed this morning because we felt so cozy snuggled up together. It feels like home to me and I could stay there forever.

My Favorite Breakfast: Oats. I don’t think I can ever get sick of them. I do switch it up from time to time, but always come crawling back to the oats, begging for forgiveness for straying.

My Favorite Workout: Typically this would be lifting weights since I love feeling strong and seeing the changes it brings to my body. Right now, though, spin wins! I love how I still feel like I can get a good workout and not have to adapt things too much because of my body.

My Favorite Candy: Do I really have to tell you??

My Favorite Sound: Little M’s voice. I love hearing her read stories to herself. Apparently she does too because she occupies herself that way a large chunk of the day. And it’s always “no mommy” when I try to read to her. Her singing is pretty precious too.

My Favorite Thing About Blogging: Um, there are too many to count but I have to say the supportive community and all your comments, emails, tweets, etc. Which is why now I hope to pay it forward and pass along the support by asking you all to show some love to my good friend Heather. It was her birthday yesterday and it included some sad news. Show her some love and then send her family some prayers. Love you, Heather!!!!

My Favorite Food: Pizza. You can have it so many ways and it can be relatively healthy too with the right choice of toppings, crust, etc. We have a Groupon for a yummy pizza place we need to use up this weekend. My heart swells with love. Or, more aptly put. my mouth swells with drool.

My Favorite Day of the Week: Saturday. It’s a family day of fun typically. The next few weeks will be especially fantastic with corn mazes, pumpkin patches, county fairs, M’s birthday party, and so much more. Oh…and the pizza of course.

My Favorite TV Show: Glee! Which I will be watching tonight.

My Favorite Article of Clothing: As much as I wear yoga pants and tank tops, nothing compares to jeans. I have a slight obsession. This stack is my biggest motivation to get back to my pre-competition-prep-screwed-my-body-must-gain-to-conceive weight. That is in fact the technical term. 😉

My Favorite Thing About Pregnancy: Feeling the little man move. He likes to thump around in there. Not always comfortable, but always endearing.

My Favorite Favorite: All of those passions I mentioned earlier. They really do make life good.

Keep the trend going…What’s one of your favorite things? Any of the above or something else you come up with. 😀

It’s kind of funny. I become a certified personal trainer and the first workouts I turn to this week come from someone else. The book came in for me at the library last week and, after flipping through it, I couldn’t wait to give the circuits a go. Making The Cut includes a lot of […]
